I came here from the Ansible web page and after seeing the video I also suffer from still not really understanding where's the real beef and how Ansible could help my team. The video just directly jumps into Ansible jargon and makes a point how A surely is a big bag of all kind of bells&whistles, but does not well address what are some essential problems that it solves better than other tools.

Just learn Ansible and once you have mastered, you can reconsider using this crap or not. It's like any other Configuration Management Systems. As good as you can implement it and enforce it. It's "famous" because it has Python attached to it and we know that Python is just the fever of the moment. ;) Just a tool, nothing more.
