John Myung's explanation of the entire writing and thought process throughout this video is how I approach my own writing. His attention to detail and how he thinks and expresses himself was brilliant in this video. I realized that if it wasn't for JM's voice in this band they would just exist. He is in the band that writes long songs but his approach is "less is more" lol

I love John Myung. However, including him in a group interview seems redundant. He doesn't really need to say anything....he is content with allowing his work speak for him.... which it does in spades. He's probably writing the next Dream Theater album in his head 😉 I met him in 2011 on the A Dramatic Turn Of Events tour and he was warm and engaging. A gentle man with a great awe about him.... and an amazing artist! 🤘😎🤘

IMO Jordan has evolved far beyond a label like "keyboardist for Dream Theater" and has over the years become like DT's "Rick Wright" when it comes to composing and showing his bandmates some cool theory stuff in the writing process.

@@scottofsc I bought 200$ tickets for texas. I've never seen DT that's why. They are a big band and they are playing at semi big venues I don't think lack of sales for dt is the issue. The jazz group "snarky puppy" canceled too due to covid and they are a small group.
