I hope you know that before 1870th Abkhazia was mostly populated by Abkhazians, but then, beacuase of war between Turks and Russians, most Abkhazians had to go to Turkey (not by their own will), and after that Georgians came to Abkhazia, and became majority. So if you want to count these "500 000 refugees"(which is wrong number, there were only 150 000 refugees for real), u shoul also count Abkhazians who live in Turkey nowadays, which is about 50 000.

@ppitm Well, that guy was volunteer in the war between Georgia and Abkhazia in 1993. It was civilian war and that guy was mercenery-volunteer who was helping abkhazian insurgents. When Soviet Union was broken Abkhazia wouldn`t be a part of Georgia.They wanted to be independent. Georgian army came to Sukhumi (a capital of Abkhazia) and seized city. That guy took part in the battle for Sukhumi where abkhazian insurgents to free their capital.When abkhazs and georgians begant to kill each other

U know , what Russian strategy is more then 400 years ? "Divide and rule!" "Inspire hatred" That's how Russia became empire , that's how it annexed Caucasia , both , north and south. That's how Russia annexed my homeland since 1801 step by step, region by region . In 1990s after dissolution of Goddamn USSR Russia activated it's KGB agents to inspire wars and further hatred between peoples in Caucasia , u know why ? Because one of the biggest fears Russia has is independent, free , United Caucasia . Russia used his agents : shevardnadze , Kitovani ... To break war out , so they did . Do you think that in Saqartvelo anyone loves kitovani ? Or shevardnadze ? No, almost everyone hates them , all know that they were dirty , Goddamn KGBs who destroyed real , legal, Zviad Gamsakhurdia's government through civil war which was financed by Russia and USA. Later war broke out in abkhazian region and Russia needed as much killing as it was possible from both sides to have long-lasting hatred between peoples and now we have this result. No one needs united Georgia or independent Abkhazia . No one , neither Russia , nor UN, Nor USA. What they need is territory of Caucasia. Russia's next step in abkhazia will be referendum like in Crimea , to join Russian federation. Russia doesn't care your stability or independence and USA or UN don't care our stability or prosperity , what they need is our lands which was and is strategically very important . @DefenceGeorgoa Russia just has peacekeeper`s bases there. Abkhazia and South Osetia are independent countries. Just someone would like to be in NATO, that`s why georgian army attacked South Osetia.
