The men on Tribal People Try have been on such an amazing journey. Before, you get the sense that their lives were simple and while they were rich in friends and family, they were just getting by. Now, they've traveled, seen places that they never would have otherwise, raised their standard of living for their families (education as Mr. Chaudhary has mentioned) and transportation. I like that they and the producers want to give back to the entire community. If we all met like this across the world, there would be no conflict. We all love our families, want to have a safe home and enough in life not to struggle. It's been a privilege watching their progress and their joy in simple things. We can learn as much from them as they learn from us.

Now I can see why Mr. Gul Sher feels so naked without his turban! The turban is a huge part of his identity. But I have a lot of smiles over how much child-like glee they have. I'm happy that they can feel this.

Mr. Gul Sher reminds me so much of my daughter's father. He has the same smile and the same outstanding laugh. We hadn't been together since 1989, but we stayed friends for our daughter's sake. He was a nice guy, just like Mr. Gul Sher. We lost him during COVID, but every time I see Mr. Gul Sher, I think fondly of him.

A little expensive but it definitely has some appeal. The food scene is pretty solid. IMO, it's a bit like the 1950s in terms of rapid development... Except that Dubai was much richer when it did the development. It could use more culture of its own... But that will take time.

I flew all my life public and private. I never gave much though to it until the last business flight a couple of weeks before retirement. I was going from Louisville to Miami to meet with employees. A lady was beside me in the aisle seat and I was in the window seat. She was very nervous and talked about this being her first. I told her not to worry because there would be no problems. As we took off there was a lot of noise and rumbling and I knew we were in trouble. She asked if this was normal and I said not really. It turned out the plane has some kind of landing gear problem. The pilot reported the problem to the passengers and reported we were going to circle the airfield. We did that for quite awhile then we were told we were going to land. Everyone was given a safety update on what to do and eventually we landed. It was very rough but no one was hurt. We were told that tires were blown out in landing. They may have blown out at take off. The poor lady beside me was scared to death. I can understand Mr. Chaudry's fears.
