My friend passed away this morning. She fell while at the doctors and hit her head. Life is so short. When Mr. Rana sang, I was finally able to cry. I'm a 4th generation native Texan, and we have a cold front approaching this weekend that will bring high winds and below freezing temperatures. Despite the wide belief that Texas is all desert and hot temperatures, we do actually have a winter. January and February are our worst winter weather months. We don't have continuous winter weather, but have sporadic cold fronts that come down from the north (artic region). They usually last from 2-3 days and occasionally for 5 days. Our normal winter temperatures are highs of 50s-60s degrees Fahrenheit and lows in the 30s-40s degrees Fahrenheit. We have had occasions where we got down to the teens or single digits, but most cold fronts only last a few days an then temperatures will revert back to normal for the season. The northern half of Texas will also occasionally get snow! It's rare however, and most often we will get ice storms instead. Compared to the northern half of the United States, the Texas winters are relatively mild. Our highway department doesn't have snowplows or any heavy winter equipment. The department just treats the highways with de-iceing materials such as sand or salt solutions. It helps but we still have patches of ice that are very dangerous. We call this black ice. It's clear, and on the black road pavement it appears black like the road, so you happen upon it before realizing it, and it causes many bad accidents and fatalities. I enjoy learning how other countries deal with seasonal travel problems.

I'm just south of Nashville, TN and we experience just about the same type of winter weather that you described. January and February are our main "winter months" as well. By Monday, our high is only supposed to be 18° F and our low temperature 4° F. Then more of the same for about 3 days. That is horrible for the south as our infrastructure is not set up for bitter cold such as this. I wish you well in Texas.

They’re busy and without the women doing the work that they do every day, the rest of the family is extremely inconvenienced.

-10 is known as warm weather in north of Pakistan it’ll go to -25 to -30 with chilly snowfall we’ve world’s most glaciers outside polar region countries one glacier length goes to more than 50 km and wider like 10 km that’s the reason we’ve too much glacier flooding because of change in climate change and glaciers are melting water levels are increasing , Pakistan got all weathers and all type of environment where we have delta , wetlands, desert s, lush green fields, forest, and snowy mountainous region high thousands of peaks and 2nd highest peak in the world k2 we have rivers , with trout and other fishes , leopards, snow leopards, black bears, musk deer’s our country have Cristal clear, pollution free beaches untouched by humans as its protected area for Maine life , monkeys, peacocks, we have world’s largest canal network for agriculture we’re world’s largest producer of organic crops, honey and meat no chemicals , fertilisers and pesticides are used only natural fertilisers are used like manure , our life expectancy in north is 100 year plus normal and downside of country’s life expectancy is 75 we’re sufficient of production of all our agriculture needs our vegetables our fruits everything is abundant we export it to outside , meat consumption is high and are also abundant we export meat also our clothes are exported to world like denim, zara and other brands gives us their orders and supply them from here as we’ve too much factories , smartphones are also built here by Samsung, techno, Nokia,and many other’s , we have world2 nd largest salt mine , we’re worlds biggest football exporter almost 90 pc of football made in world comes from Pakistan we’ve our metro system , we make our own defence equipment ,we’re only Muslim nuclear power country, trucks, sedans everything is made here but we’re not producing much of our oil so we import a lot which results in too much of our country’s money going abroad and trade deficit we import raw materials and refine everything here like oil, iron, aluminium chemicals for pharmaceuticals we import raw materials only thing where we lag is corrupt leaders of our country

Never heard of that place. Thought it were Yellowstone, which is quite cold and home to the first national park in America. Turns out it's the capital of Northwest Territories of Canada, but -39°C honestly sounds a bit of exaggeration and more like the extreme minimum, if I'm not mistaken. Also, I find it strange how the US use °F for temperature measurement while Canada °C. They're so similar yet so different.

As an American I have many ways and the money to have seen most of my country. These gents don't have the same, and seeing their reaction to places they can't believe exist in their homeland is amazing. The stories they'll be able to share of the food and sights they saw when they return home will become legends to their friends and family. We got a foot of snow in my town yesterday. Even though we usually get snow throughout the winter, that was a lot! But, we have good snow removal trucks and the roads are clear. It makes a difference when you have the right tools. I've lived in places that would be paralyzed by 3" of snow. I looked up the temperature in Islamabad and it was 49F. That is very warm! It is 23F where I am. 😄

Nice to get out of the village for a trip to the mountains, I drive a semi truck for a living and we run about 120kph for up to 11hrs a day. I know that is quite a bit for most people and to stop for a rest about half way is pretty normal but I would do your entire trip in one shift of driving. Have fun guys.
