Very interesting, informative and nostalgic. On the farm I frequently visited in the mid-50s, the Fergie 28 was the little tractor and the petrol Nuffield was the "big" tractor; at least to me it seemed enormous. Farmers would often pool resources at hay making time and do the rounds of each others' farms until the work was done.
