32:45 😳😱 Always best to reverse the 'outward' one back to a known 'home' where the waiting one is resting. Then they will both be at zero, welded together, then grouped so when they move in the future it's always together. I know, you said today (when filming it at least) brain wasn't braining. No worries!

Pistons with mag plates moving next to their own grid is always a good time!

I sure learned that in this episode lol.

About your landing gear, use the custom turret trick, hinge then small grid piston and then it will tuck up under the ship super easy, plus look really cool when set up with event controller on a landing cycle

Yeah! I like this idea. I'll try and implement this. Thanks!

I use the ACS mod from Splitse as my only 'MES' module (and all the dependancies for ACS). Splitse (and his community) built all the bases and ships and they also leave you alone until you attack them first. But once you are at war with them, i don't think you can make them stop.

I'll look up the ACS mod. Maybe add it in along with the Imber Corp. Thanks!

35:00 Ship is probably the easiest way to set them, so making a fold down arm to recharge and road might be cool. And to flip things like the rover, if you gyros are placed in correct orientation (2 colored dots goes 'to'/ forward, single dot 'one is the loneliest number, cause he's left Behind' is in back) then you just do a gyro override roll. 😃👍

Good tip. I'll have to remember that saying when I place my gyros! Thanks!

That's a novel way to use defensive turrets, I've always shot adversaries with my turrets, I never considered throwing the turret at them 🥴

Lol. After further review, I would not recommend throwing turrets as a defensive tactic. Shooting them is a much more effective method.

22:40 (On the event controllers and antennas for signals) I believe what the new signals update you only need one antenna for all the things that you want to descend. A broadcast controller actually sends the messages in text like you see when the NPC guys are arguing with each other. Then you can have it to where it will tell you what's going on through the one antenna. Event controllers are like the other way to do it, But I think it takes a lot more work to set that up than the broadcast controller. 🤷

I forgot about the broadcast controller. That would be a better way to send alerts. Thanks!

Just so you know because I see everyone do it. If you blueprint from the rear of the grid it will line up and move correctly in projectors. You can then switch the screenshot to what you want if you ever put it on the workshop/modio to share it.

Hey bud, so first things first, Scout looks way better. Thanx for that, LOL As for the small weapons platform, im a little unsure, i get the premise, but i am a little unsure if its worth the effort. Might be better to just pick a spot you want turrets around your base and then drill down. Once you are say 50m down, you make a marker and then head back to the base, drill under your main hab and then drill in the direction of the marker you made in the hole from before. This negates the need for the extra solar and batteries and you just add in pipes underground for the turrets. Also means the turrets are large grid and so alot tougher. And because its all piped in to the main base, no need for storage at the turret. Thats what i do, it seems like a bit of work, but how long did all that take you today?? Also you could add a welder at each turret to keep it working even when being damaged.

Solid solution to the deployable turrets. After this episode I may just do that. I just thought it would be easy and cool to have little turrets around the base lol. Didn't think it would cause me that much time and effort. Thanks for the ideas!
