Interesting to see the details of the medical side of goat care. I hear friends talking about their dairy & fiber goats (& dairy & fiber sheep), and am grateful for all their work & care of their animals. There's always much more to husbandry than we first think! Blessings to you all & your animals. Always love to see the 2 & 4 legged kids interacting.

ell, how proud that you all must feel!!! That is quite an A+ vet report. First time goat owners, first time worming and success, first time dealing with a lice breakout and success!!! Weight is good along with great eye color. Once you deal with the hooves trims then you can say you have got most basics down, Yay!!!!!!! With the worming, fleas and mite control in dogs and puppies, it wasn't until we rescued 2 small puppies and a new Mama, that we lost control for a whole 2 seasons and then winter helped us with flea and mite outbreak. Congratulations.

Really informative. Thank you for taking the time to video when you probably just wanted to watch and listen. Each time I take my cat into the vet for his leg (past break) and wait, I come out with a $200+ bill. Your mobile vet with his services and information is a great value.

Hahaha, LOVED the balloons! Art, your the typical nurse asking those questions. My husband (a cardiac care RN) is exactly like you. HOWEVER, seeing the needle going into the jugular almost had me passed out. Hahaha This being the wife of an RN who needed a severe bloody nose packed and my husband told the staff that his wife needed help before she fainted. They left him and went straight to me poor guy. You nurses are hilarious though. Everything is a science project and fun fact adventure.

Wow, this was really cool to watch! I have no goat vet options in my area! To have a good mobile vet is absolutely awesome! Art, my friend who has goats and is a nurse does her own blood draws so in the future you could do it yourself and send off to lab. I want to learn how!? I will be trying to learn much more vet care because I have no other option. Good thing I went to an Agricultural High School and majored in Animal Science! I loved seeing the diapers drying in the sun! Another great day on the homestead!

This is so neat! Thank you so much for showing it (and thanks to the vet and assistant/tech for agreeing to being put on here). The disbudding and the hoof care are the things that made me the most nervous. I know I won't do the disbudding myself, but I am less scared to do hoof care now. I mean, not now, but when we have goats. Interesting but grody info about the lifespan of the worms! Love the sweet ending.

Oh -- you have your own James Herriot (All Creatures Great and Small) :o) :o) His cost is very reasonable especially since he brought an assistant (vet student?). You are very lucky. Question -- have you tried any of the raw goat's milk directly on the baby's eczema? I know people use goat's milk soap -- but was wondering if raw goat's milk dabbed on the skin has helped.

Worms freak me out! When we started our goat farm we lost one of our very first goats because of worms. I was given advice from a vet to give my goats medicated sweet feed every day and I would never have problems with worms. I've had my goats for years and haven't had one worm problem since. Thought I would pass on the advice !!
