Being a motorcycle Enthusiast I love the little motorcycle shop. As a classic motorcycle enthusiasts I think of all the cool motorcycles they had in the 1950s. You could buy a Vincent Black Shadow for the price of a GMC pickup truck. Now a black shadow is more that a good house. Imagine living in that layout and time. All of the cool old Harley-Davidsons and Indian motorcycles that were just regular motorcycles back then like the cars and not a collector's item priced out to the roof. Back when everything was American-made and everything Americans made was the best. Yeah I could live on that layout I would love it like being in heaven. Sitting at a railroad crossing on my motorcycle watching all of those beautiful steam-powered passenger train and freight train.

Wouldn't you love to live on that layout. Have a nice little house where you can sit on the porch and watch the trains all day. Hear them whistle from far off. Good nice old America where you could leave your doors unlocked back in those days. When everything was good and nothing was demented and psychotic and bloodthirsty like it is today. But I guess we all live in our layout in a way. We all live in our little world that we have created. Simply magnificent all the way around. Scratch built buildings are as good or better than the commercial one. Plus they're unique you won't see the same building on someone else's layout.

It is so fantastic that he scratch built so many buildings. In the old days you would have so many plans in every monthly issue of Model Railroader magazine. Scale fidelity and beautiful detailing. A serious authentic model railroad with nothing incorrect. I bet his layout is probably worth as much as the house that it is in or maybe more. Simply gorgeous.

Notice how everything is so realistic no toy like out of scale anyting. Everything is proper I wish everybody's three rail layout could become like this. I could look at this layout for hours on end so realistic. An absolute work of art.

One of the very 'best' model railroad layouts I have had the extreme pleasure of watching, and I thank you for allowing 'us' to watch and absorb the beauty: my ONLY negative comment or let's call it a positive suggestion would be to ADD GRAFITTI to everything. Yes, (for a few hours) be a real railroad fan and head out and watch a real train. The rolling stock, the engines, are (mostly) covered in grease, oil, road/rail dirt, and particulates: not all, but most of the rolling stock are plastered (to some degree) with painted tags and graffiti. Perhaps the next level of realism is to add, some of these items to the equipment. Let me end on a positive: a wonderful layout - with hundreds of thousands of (people) hours of work, and probably (nearly) a hundred thousand (maybe more) of cash spent on this layout. Wonderful!

How could you nitpick that gorgeous layout? Everything about that old scale 2 rail layout is absolutely perfect. You would have to be a professional layout Builder to make anything better and even then I don't think you could match this layout. I like Nick Pickers Rock that's cool.
@alpugliesetrains9753 Жыл бұрын
Thanks Frank. I've been looking for that Buzzard to purchase. We can all use a no nit picker display like Bob's on our layouts. More to come once I upgrade my video camera coming soon.

Look where the road crosses the railroad track look how nicely that is done compared to an O gauge layout where they would have the crossing and then they would just have the regular track crossing the road to where you would need a tank to get over the railroad track. Details like that make it what it is.

They are various brass O scale 2 rail engines but im not sure of the brands. Very few importers did O scale 2 rail C+O so I would do a google search. He does have some MTH 2 rail Alleghenies that are fantastic runners. These engines are discontinued and very hard to find. These engines also require very large turning radius if you decide to model 2 rail O. If you decide to go Hi Rail you can run much tighter radius. If you decide to do HO scale I can also help. A future video will feature his engine TBA.

Notice how everything is correct for the time. Most O gauge 3 rail layout have a mishmash of time. They have 5000 horsepower modern diesels next to Modern steam next to Old Time Steam. Here is a model railroad whereas most people's 3 railroad layout just is there to display their favorite locomotive regardless of whether they fit the time peroid or not.

@@alpugliesetrains9753 somewhere in a box I have the Lionel lady tied to the track accessory. Just like my Wylie Coyote guard shack I bought it for its novelty value. I also have to chase gandola with the coyote chasing the roadrunner. H o gauge get too serious at times I just like to have fun with train now. I just wish I could find somebody to give my old HO scale layout I couldn't bear to throw it out

Otis how nice and quiet the locomotive runs. No bulshit Tower Talk no engine sounds. No Electronic garbage. Just the sound of the locomotive and the train running down the track. Like HO scale for people with bad eyes who need bigger trains. I tell people the worst my eyes get the bigger my trains get.

Thanks Frank, sorry it took so long to reply. I deeply love O scale and you will be seeing more as I discover more great O scale layouts in hiding. Wanted great O scale layouts willing to be filmed for the channel in the MD VA DE area.

I like true O scale trains with two rails. Proper the way it should be. I hate all these beautiful layout with all these beautiful locomotive and they are still cursed with the third rail going down the middle. Just to make them compatible with some crap that Lionel made in the 50s. You see the huge layout with scale everything but still cursed with the third rail. Of course I Model A prosperous Penn Central so I run electric with the pantographs down like the way and ep 5 would do in third rail territory. Ash I have Subway car train sets of course I model New York with them. This way I can rationalize the third rail on my layout. When my uncle would take me to the Long Island Railroad you would see signs everywhere saying beware the third rail. You would have sign saying beginning third rail or ending third rail. I commend him for his beautiful scale layout with no third rail and no goofy accessories. 40 by 40 layout bigger than my house. Just think how nice it would have been if after WWII Lionel trains went to 2 rail O scale. In my old model railroad magazines from the 40s and the 50s there were companies you could send your Lionel locomotive to and they would convert them to to rail. They would also have pictures of railroads with the outside third rail in scale. They would have collector shoes on their steam locomotives and their diesels but the advantage was you did not have to insulate the car wheels you could use the one you had. Once again a fabulous beautiful layout I just don't have the words to adequately describe it.
