Absolutely need to remove or minimize or move the video inset. The code is critical to this talk and is being obscured by the video inset. This would've been a very good tutorial except for this issue.

this is especially true when the title of the talk is 'VISUAL' guide to pandas.

@6:20 the code is: df.ix[1:9:3, 5:8] notes: start, stop, step

this would also work, right? df.ix[[1,9,3], 5:8]

I've watched a few Pandas tutorials here, and this is probably one of the best. Great idea to make the explanation more visual as opposed to just focusing on code.

Nice talk, but we really need a download of the slides to make it a useful reference.

really don't need the video of the Jason - it obscures the code in the slides which I can't see an easy link to...

I think they start realizing the video issue around 6:30 and then its minimized intermittently or disappears when the code overlay occurs. ... annoying nevertheless. But the premise and content of the talk is good. Very few speakers realize that a "visual guide" is the best format to learn pandas. As Miriam says, listen through after 6:30.

horrible editing. I do not need to see the speaker while the code gets covered... what a waste of time!

Too frustrating, first because the speaker covers too much of the on-screen info, and second because ix is no longer recommended. What a shame, it could have been quite useful.

The output for df.ix[:,B:D] is wrong .In python the upper boundary will not be included,so the columns that we will see as output are B and C only and not D.

This guy is not so pretty as that you need to put his video over the code all the time. From 5:52 to 6:20 this video inset is covering the code all the time. I want to see WHAT he is talking about I don't need to see WHO is speaking! Quote beginning at 5:56: "So, here you can see that there's a very familiar and of start stop and step method of slicing." NO! You are lying! I can NOT see it!!!

After a few minutes into the video, the obstructions stop. Aside from the early obstructions, the video has a lot of value. I'm glad I finished watching it through to the end. The visualizations are elucidating.

Yes, in at least one case, the code was never visible. Also using the same labels for both dimensions of a two dimensional table (a,b,c,d...) is not helpful. Spoilt an otherwise good tutorial..
