Dr.BMK's signature is stamped in all the four four ragas - Révagupti, Kambhóji, Shuddha dhanyasi n Hamsanandi just by this Ragamaliaka alone..,,his fierce tempo and the solid tone n diction is matchless.!!! I get reminiscences of meeting him just prior to the commencement as well as after the conclusion of few of cutcheries in mid-eighties and later on talked to him over phone while in an A I R program wherein music-enthusiasts can converse with him n he did identify me by my voice before I attempted to tell him about in absence in the city n in India itself etc...He even prompted me to sing the Pallavi of a song which I enjoyed in his cutchery, many years' back , rather guided me to sing the same over the phone! Pranams to the great Guru.

Had the fortune of listening to this rendition in live at Hyderabad at Ravindra Bharathi in 2014. What a evening it was, definitely one of the best in my life.

In that film i have used a few alaapans of bala ji's such as " pibare ramarasam" an alapan from the THREE MASTEROES" etc.!!! I am planning up load THILODAKAM on the wall of utube!! Wonderful composition of my parama guru. Just one humble correction, the last ragam is Poorvi kalyani, as is evident in the asahana ( d s r s) and chittaswaram (d s r g) phrases. It's not Hamsanandi as noted. Hansanandi has a nishadham in the aarohana, which isn't heard in the last charanam. 🙏

I have verified (again) in the book " Suryakanti" too and the third charanam is in the raga Hamsānandi with chittasvaram as follows. | d-s-r-g -- s-r-g-m --- r-g-m-d -- g-m-d-s | s- n- d -- s-n-d-s-n | d -- s-n-d-m-g-r-s. For your kind information, BMK also sings s-n-d-m-g-r-s in the chittasvaram .Could you please listen to check for yourself at your convenience?
