How beautiful that St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, the patron saint, if you will, of the Sacred Heart led you to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Convent. BTW, I've been so blessed to visit convent in Paray-Le-Monial France three times. Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in Thee.

Whether or not novices and young nuns remain in religious life is an unknown but what is certain is that once the Lord, through the Holy Spirit, touches you, that new life in Christ will remain forever, whether you are a sister, a lawyer, a doctor or a politician. Well may be not a politician.
