I just found you. I’m glad I did. I worked in a hospital during COVID. It was very scary. I started journaling in the last month or so. Unfortunately, after 36 years at the hospital, I was let go. I found I was going through the 5 stages of grief. I can’t remember when I didn’t work there. Your Bible is beautiful. You have such a sweet Spirit. Thank you for sharing with me.

This video really encouraged me. I feel like sometimes I don't read my bible because I think I have to fill up the columns with notes etc. and if I think I won't be able to then I do not read at all. But something you said made me think that God designed me and He knows exactly how to reach me and He will do it in His own way for me personally. I suddenly don't feel all the pressure I am just excited to be in His word. Thank you :)

I've hesitated to go to a new Bible since mine has over 30 years of use and notes. But looking at the She Reads Truth Bible, I can see me doing a new Bible start. 🙂I really like the wide margins for my notes, which I love to include. Thanks so much Asheritah!
@Asheritah3 ай бұрын
Debra, I felt that same hesitation when setting aside my NIV Study Bible that I grew up taking notes in. It had about 15+ years of notes, and many of those notes mark the beginnings of my relationship with Jesus, so I didn't want to start over. But I'm so glad I did! I still treasure that Bible as my young adult beginnings, but starting fresh allowed me to memorialize this next season of my walk with Jesus, and it's been lovely. Truly. :)

I am currently doing an in depth study of Psalms. A year ago in May I found out that my cancer had returned. I was devastated and went directly to the book of Psalms for God's peace, comfort, guidance for my ability to accept this health issue again. I am always looking for a new Bible to use for studying His Word.
@AmandaRoby8116 ай бұрын
James 1 really got me through radiation last year. My cancer was entirely survivable, but with a high chance of it returning. "...whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy..." I wrestled through this and rested in it and find joy in it.

oh yay!! Your comment just made my day. :) Yes, there's so much to discover in the pages of Scripture, but most of all, delighting in the Word made flesh who reveals Himself in those pages. 💛 Please let me know what questions you have on how to get started. I want to make videos that serve you on your journey with Jesus!

So thankful to have found this video. I guess I just needed the “permission” to write in my Bible in my own very personal way… it’s very freeing. Also, so cool to see how your Bible is such a tool for you and to see where you gathered His words to write your books… which I am thoroughly enjoying. ❤

I really appreciated peaking into your Bible! Like you've done, I've been reading the Bible straight through with The Bible Project app on my phone. HOWEVER, I haven't been following along in a copy of the Bible or taking notes. This She Reads Truth Bible would be great so I can start capturing my thoughts and reflections, how God is speaking to me through His Word and Spirit, verses that resonate for me right now in my life, etc. that I might turn back to them for encouragement when I'm struggling or feeling low or overwhelmed with life.

What a delight! Thank you for sharing your personal bible with us. I grew up without marking in my Bible. I was barely comfortable highlighting a couple of passages, i.e. Jeremiah 29:11 that one of my aunt's prayed over me or when I was little the call of Abraham really spoke to me and while experiencing a major loss in my 20's in John 10 where Jesus was explaining why he waited or why he didn't come right away when the sisters of Lazarus sent word about Lazarus. My prayer is to have a fresh God experience, that the passion I had to journal, study and read the Word will be reignited. This Bible seems like a wonderful way to lead me on that path!

I love writing in my bible. It’s a new freedom I’ve discovered a few years ago! I read the Bible each year and take notes. I love that you discover more and more with each read. The commentary, reading plans and how this points to Jesus before each chapter excites me. My goal is to fill my bibles and leave give them to my children (with a new copy for them) when they leave for college. I would love to start (also) a new one for each of my children and write my prayers and observations for them throughout the years and how it corresponds to the Word and their lives. D love a chance to win this bible for that purpose!

I need a Bible that I can write it - I love the organization you showed us in this - I have gone through a rough 4 or 5 years and am trying to stay grounded in the Word - and looking at how to work through suffering - I would love to have this to help me in studying about suffering as well as growing in Christ - less of me and more of Him. This would help me so much in studying the word and not relying on just devotions!

Friend, I totally get this, and there's such freedom in embracing the way God created you to connect with Him. So if you're not particularly artsy, that's okay. Still take time to write things out, to help you remember, and to memorialize what God is showing you about Himself in His Word.
