A walk around Marken, 2020 || Netherlands

Wandering around Marken. This little village by the sea is located in the Marketmeer. It was an island until a 1.6 km long embarkment connected it to the mainland. The alternative route to get to this beautiful village is by a ferry from Volendam. The round trip by the ferry costs approx. 14 Euro and will take 45 minutes on one way trip.
The iconic little green and orange wooden houses are one of the charms of this little village. Some of the homes are build in the artificially builded tiny hills called 'Werven'. Old Wooden Shoe Factory and the Marker Museum with its costume exhibition are some of the must see places, otherwise you can just walk around and simply enjoy the beauty of this wonderful village.
