Thank you for your video of La Grange. I'm a 5th generation native and have a lotta memories and was remembering what each building was when I was a child in the 60's. I grew up among all the old timers born in the late 1800's. My grandfather was one of the town physicians so I used to know a lot of people who are all long dead and gone. The La Grange Valley of Rest down the road is like a storybook of who's who of La Grange. One day I'll join my grandparents there.

You were very close to our place on main street, cool to see people taking more of an interest in the city. It definitely attracts quite a bit of railfans due to the virtual railfan stream! The railfan cameras you can actually see in your video, they're on the Bloom's shop near top (2 white ones) - they've been there before that business moved in, but thankfully they continued the stream. There's also a courthouse camera too that livestreams as well. I'd say the further out on the outskirts of downtown are areas that you're going to get less of an upkept vibe, but that's true with anywhere you go. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for your awesome comment. Lagrange is literally 20 minutes from my house. I can’t wait to go back. I feel like I just scraped the tip of the iceberg. There’s a lot of history here and I can’t wait until the courthouse is redone. I hope you can subscribe and thank you for your awesome comment.

It depends on the local ordinances, but generally children under 13 y/o are permitted to ride bikes on the sidewalk. Again, it varies from place to place.

The railroad track in the town of La Grange is a CSX railroad track
@SightsSoundsFlavors Жыл бұрын
Is that for the heavier trains?
@TheMetGuy Жыл бұрын
I believe this town sees 11 CSX freight trains a day

Pretty pathetic how you reacted to a couple harmless kids staying out of the street on their bikes. Stay over in White Blossom with that Louisville lawyer attitude chief.

Sorry you feel that way but cyclists shouldn't be on sidewalks. There's a reason there's bike lanes. Thanks for your comment.

If anything it depends on their age. If its a child they belong on the sidewalk for their own safety. If they are a teenager or an adult they should be on the road.

Now that I've visited ill tell you that there are signs that say "no bikes or skateboards on sidewalk
