A Walk in the Woods Metal Detecting Iowa and I end up with TWO BUCKET LISTERS

Plans changed for the day. I started out the day thinking I was going to go detecting at the park where I found the IHP's a couple videos back. But as with most things since I retired my plans changed for the day and I had to travel in the other direction. I had a location that had been on my radar for about a year but never took the time fully investigate. Well in this video I did just that and am I glad I did. Had I not found anything I would have been happy to just enjoy the beauty around me. But as luck would have it, I hit not one but two incredible bucket listers for me. I also found a beautiful little silver bracelet dated 1919. Was one of those days I will never forget. Thanks for watching and please take the time to comment. I try to always respond. Shawn, congrats on your beautiful bucket lister items. The 2 center was a white whale of mine that I had found last fall after finding one in our garden when I was a kid. The skeleton key was as huge as the one that I dug up a month ago in a field that used to have a house. I love the early century wheats and the bracelet. Any chance of finding the owners family? I also love the buttons. What a great day for you! Worth putting up with the heat and the bugs for sure 👌

That's a coin I never figured I would find but was always on the back of my mind. My brother who has detected this area and many more has only found one in 30+ years. Hi Shawn , nice one my friend and well done on the B listers my favourite has to be the key it's a lovely find well done , and Mosquitos are a right pain but it's the Horse flies over here i hate make a right mess of your arms and legs and can get infected very easily and they itch like mad for days 🦟🦟😫😤 , the bracelet and the button with the house on are also nice finds and some good age to them , good video mate enjoyed it best wishes and good luck ATB Rob 👍

I was thinking token and hoping for something local 😆. Man when I saw the 2 my heart started pounding, but when I saw the Cents under it through my phone lens I got chills up my spine. William, Yes actually I did a ton of research. With the date and with it being made in France, I was figuring WW1 Soldier. But I think I'm totally wrong. I'm thinking it was sent to Rex from a relative from France. I'm hoping to track down that connection and do a video on everything I've found out. Maybe a good project for this winter. I've been digging into that bracelet and it's taken me down a really incredible rabbit hole of history. I'm 90% sure I've found the grave of the person it belonged to and am tracking down more information on descendants.
