A Walk Through the Cox Corridors and Hall of Columns

Three corridors on the first floor of the #USCapitol's House wing are elaborately decorated with wall and ceiling murals.
Known as the #CoxCorridors, the murals and decorations here include historical scenes, portraits and maps related to the development and growth of the United States. The murals are set within an architectural framework of pilasters and trompe l'oeil classical carvings, and quotations from historical figures are painted above many of the doorways.
Nearby, the #HallOfColumns is a dramatic, high-ceilinged corridor over 100 feet long. The hall takes its name from the 28 fluted, white marble columns that line the corridor.
The column capitals here are a variation on the Corinthian order, incorporating not only classical acanthus leaves but also thistles and native American tobacco plants. Earlier uses of American vegetation in the building's capitals include Benjamin Henry Latrobe's corncob capitals in a first-floor vestibule and his tobacco-leaf capitals in the small Senate rotunda.
Since 1976, the hall has housed part of the National Statuary Hall Collection. These bronze and marble portrait sculptures have been donated to the U.S. Capitol by individual states in commemoration of notable citizens.

Well with all the thousands of hours of footage the Speaker of the House "Kevin McCarthy" has just handed over to his chosen entertainer at Fox Entertainment, I'm sure after hours of doing their best "cherry picking" They are you will offer hours of footage to the the American public, no matter how sensitive that area may be.
