When I was younger I wanted to take a walking tour of England's rural areas-I didn't plan seriously, but I have been fortunate to visit London and the surrounding tourist sites and towns/villages a few times-this video made me dream of planning a walking tour again-very informative and beautiful to look at-thank you and take care🙂 p.s. I have two stuffed and soft animal sheep toys (meant for babies) resting on my bed💕

I like the way that little things in life make you happy Kirsten, like little lambs, or a nice bunch of flowers, or a little find in an antique shop, or a film, or a walk, in fact simple things in life. For me watching your adventures around Britain, the home decorating, the browsing around the vintage/antiques shops, Joerg great food enjoyment are not only reminiscent of happy times with my late beloved husband, but are a delight to watch here in my French "cottage", even if it makes me slightly 'home sick'.....

I love making potato salad (Swedish), I like to make paprika-spiced chicken and potato salad with apples, cabbage and onion with sweet corn on the side. It's just too tasty :D So nice to see a video from Peak District, my husband and I are hoping to buy a house there so this is great content for me - makes me feel a bit happier. I'm one of the vulnerable people that the government recommend to avoid all contact and avoid being out (I live in a city so there are too many people and too small paths for me to just head out in the days, doesn't feel safe). So been feeling very down, especially since it was my birthday this weekend too. Thank you for making me feel a bit happier :)

Happy belated Birthday to you. Yes, I think it's a great idea to move to the Peak District, if you need to go to a big city (once this is over even if it will last for a little while longer), you can go to Manchester but otherwise enjoy the peace and quiet.

I'm always grateful to see a new video from you! I've become quite a fan since discovering you just a few weeks ago. As so many others have said, your videos - the country walks, the stops for tea, antique shopping and home decorating - all are welcome escapes from these tumultuous and unpredictable times. I would say that for me you soften the edges of life. Just by being you (both of you!) you bring a healing gift to us all. Thank you! xo ~ Lauren-Miranda in the San Francisco Bay Area

I was so excited to watch this video - my husband and I stayed in Castleton this time last year and we absolutely loved it. We agree the Peak District is stunning and were blown away by Winnats Pass! You are so lucky to be able to drive there for the day. Thanks for bringing back lovely memories for us xo

So happy to see you both out and about, and what a gorgeous place to be!” Our 🌎 is beautiful.” Love and support you, indeed! 💕 Thank you for this.” Makes me want to eagerly travel with my husband to Sweden to visit family, as well as Scotland, Ireland, and England, too.” We are both in our late 50’s, it’s time to visit where we came from 😉, bucket list. 🤗♥️🤗♥️

It is beautiful, I wish my grandfather, Sven Hallquist, was alive to see how far we’ve come with technology, I think he would faint seeing google earth. He was born in Vara, Sweden. The family still owns the land and the house he was born in, we have a lot of family spread around there. Some family left to the States and some to Canada. I love the Swedish homes! My cousin Kerstin, sends beautiful pictures of the landscape and variety of wildflowers around her home. May you both have a wonderful relaxing evening.” 💕

I agree - it is a beautiful part of the UK, and while I was watching your video I realised that it has been 20 years since I last visited it properly (other than a brief trip to Matlock for work). I’m working from home today, so watching your video was my treat to accompany my mid-morning tea break...where I marvelled at your energy over 7 miles while I drank tea and ate a slice of lemon drizzle cake (baking inspired by one of your earlier videos!) x

Oh thanks so much Annie, appreciate that you took the time to watch while having a tea break. And the cake sounds lovely, it's so good, isn't it? Have a lovely day.

Simply awesome area for walks and I know exactly how you feel about sheep as I really appreciate seeing them too, especially in the UK because there are so many quirky breeds. They and the goats seem quite friendly too, I guess they get used to walkers. Don't ever worry about your hair blowing in the wind, it would look ridiculous it was plastered down with hair spray. You both have an eye for style and the quality of your clothes, me too. Thank you for another lovely view of yet another part of the stunning English countryside, my heart and soul yearns for it every day. We watch and enjoy "Escape to the Country" on TV, but really should be watching "Escape to a Town" if there was such a programme. Because my wife is a professional masseuse, we need to be moving to a small city or large town for a business opportunity if we ever get the time to move to the UK but that's another story. Warm regards take care.

I've been to England several times but never to the Peak District although I know of it. It really is beautiful and made me want to go for a long walk. Very good, relaxing video. Also 80s hair 😂 you always look great no matter what. By the way I love to see sheep too when I come over.

I first went to the Peak District on school field trip in the early 80s, and I absolutely loved it. We stayed at a place called Losehill Hall, in Castleton, and we spent a week walking Mam Tor, and all the villages in the Hope Valley and surrounding areas. Lovely to revisit it again with you two. So good to see you both out again. Going to be trying your potato salad soon, too.

Oh my gosh - those sheep! Those first ones were so cute, and I love the squat little bottom of that one on the right, and then that one with the horns that came so close to you was simply adorable!! And, you have the nicest dimples! :-)
