The bug report was right, it's the 3D model with the ammo boxes that is wrong. It's a belt fed gun and the loaders just need to keep feeding the belt to keep the guns firing, no need to stop and reload when you can just hook on a belt as it fires

Not belt fed, feed strip. Feed strips can be reloaded without stopping the gun, much like the bofor using clip hopper system. Easy to do when feeding one gun. Harder to do two at a time as vehicle like this would normally have a loader on each side.

Phly, for earing the engines: - set self engine sound to 20% - set other players engine sound to 100% - set effects, music, etc to 20% - play with master sound to have effects, musinc, etc. to correct volume. you just boosted the other player engine sounds by x5

@@teun911 The issue is that the base volume of other tank engines isn't normalized to your own, so even with min volume on your own engine, it will still drown out other tanks' engines in many cases while you're moving. The whole sound engine is so sloppy and fucked. The sounds are also notched so they can only come from a finite number of directions. Like the notches on an N64 controller's analog stick. If you want to know where someone is approaching from, you have to swing your camera around and "feel" where it notches to home in on where they actually are. There is also no vertical sound component, so someone 20m above you on a cliff sounds like they're revving their engine right in front of your face. If they'd just toss out their hubris and hire an industry sound specialist to rework the spatial audio and the EQ/balance of the sounds, they could make the game sound fantastic. But no, they think they can just fudge anything themselves. It's also all super range-compressed when multiple sounds stack up so that everything smashes together into a soup. Most of the game sounds, like explosions and cannons and engines, also have this same low-mid frequency information so they all build up into mud if two or more things are happening at once. It's a mess.

This SPAA system is really good but it runs out of the 640 rounds to quickly sometimes and puts you in a bind to find a zone captured by your team to get to so you can reload. It is very destructive on aircraft and I do enjoy playing it.

Honestly, this is good. Back in the day this thing used to have like 7-10 second reload (while Wirbelwind with more ammo had like 3 second reload). Finally this thing will be useful. At the same time looks like the overall ammo count decreased and with one continuous belt...yeah, that's gonna run out fast.

Tried to add a link to an online news article about old military equipment that some may find interesting but for some reason it keeps being deleted, any ideas why? Also what’s interesting is when the Germans were designing new spaag such as the Wirbelwind they did actually take the Italian prototype m42 to Germany with them - it is theorised that the wirebelwind came from this.

M42 gets a full belt without reloads for some reason, Chinese ZSD63 still takes 30 seconds to reload two guns with 40 rounds each, with TWO loaders.
