To get a blackout curtain to work correctly you need to put the rod hangers out further. About 5inches past the window edge. Then it will keep the light from getting around it. Also, they make thermal curtains in blackout and that gives heat/cold protection too.

Hang a curtain or blanket temporarily at the door of talons bedroom and it will keep the heat in and save on propane this winter since the rest is still under construction , Merry Christmas 🎅

Lyssa, if you buy the small shipping bubble wrap. Cut the bubble wrap to cover the width of the window making sure to cover where you open the windows. I doubled mine up. Make sure your bubbles are facing towards you. Spray the window lightly with water or wipe with a damp cloth. Place bubble wrap on the windows. Not only does it give the boys privacy but it also helps to keep the cold out. It does work great. Insulation for the windows.

It's Ron in Canada love your videos and family here's a little tip for you hang curtain rods. Mark the holes with a pencil take a very small nail and punch a little hole and then when you put it up the Phillips will have a little hole to start in Canada we use Robertson which is a square head that's a lot easier just a little tip Mike
