Rather than thinking of it as “losing your salvation”, I believe that when someone leaves the faith, they never really had it to begin with. 1 John 2:19 says “They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us.” 😊

Thank you for sharing! Yes, those who truly belong to Him, who have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit, cannot lose their salvation, praise God!!! The Bible clearly teaches those who have eternal life can never lose it. "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand." John 10:28-29 “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5 There is a verse that can be confusing, from Galatians 5:4-5 for example where it mentions they were 'severed' from Christ and have 'fallen from grace', which i understand to be because some truly hadn't trusted in Christ and were seeking to be justified by the law. God bless!

One thing for the woman out there. We also need to do this in case our husbands are not there. I feel like this is one thing we do not talk about. We need minimal skills to repair plumbing and electrical things or small engine too. We tend to let our man do a lot of those things

Same applies to any trade really. If you are photographer for example you can focus too much on the tech and think you need better camera to do amazing work. It's important to discover the limits of the tools you have and only upgrade when those limitations become obvious. Staying vigilant about your health and safety is extremely important point; most people are nonchalant about it. I know I have been on occasion, not putting goggles "this will take a sec" kinda moments! It's also important to calm your mind and have faith that things will work out. Everyone out there is trying to scare you because of their incentives. Have trust in yourself. Great video! 👋 from Mass!

One of things that I have done in recent years is obtain my amateur radio license (HAM). True, in an emergency you do not need a license, but you need to practice. I think anyone truly into prepping should get at least the General license so you can work mostly HF bands. In a real emergency, VHF probably won't suffice. I personally have the Extra license. With HAM you can talk to the world including the ISS. My 2 cents. Great channel. Thank you for the hard work that you do.

There’s salvation and then there’s sanctification. You can definitely lose your sanctification by rebellion or apathy but salvation is something only God can do for us through Jesus Christ. Technically I would have to say that we could lose salvation if we refused it but we can’t earn salvation by works.

For my 2 cents worth of knowledge; the ancient art of blacksmithing is something a prepper needs to have basic knowledge of. There may not be electricity or not enough to run modern welders. Dont need Anvil. Using a heavy chunk of steel or a sledgehammer head. Charcoal works.

Hello Eric, I'm new to your channel. I need to ask you a question. The guys that installed T1-11 skirting, didn't cut me out a crawl space to get under. What I need to know is what tools do I need to cut out a 3 foot access door? Thank You in advance
@CountryLivingExperience
@CountryLivingExperience 2 ай бұрын
Interesting that they just blocked your crawl space off like that. It depends on what kind of access hatch you want to build. I don't know what tools you own so far, what you know how to use, or what type of access hatch you want to build. At minimum, a saw of some sorts, and a hammer and nails.

Seems like every generation has to start totally from scratch from the beginning to acquire any skills. What has happened to all the "old timers" who knew how to do all these things and able to teach the young people all they know? Wouldn't it be awesome for young people to start where you're leaving off...then each generation could go far beyond what you knew.
@CountryLivingExperience

Absolutely. The young don't want to learn anymore. They want to go to college and get a useless degree for $200k. I am teaching my kids everything I can.

If you can lose your salvation by something you do or don’t do, then it is based on your performance, and not the finished work of Jesus Christ. Jesus will lose none of His children. The Good Shepherd will bring all of His people home.
@CountryLivingExperience
@CountryLivingExperience 2 ай бұрын
Do you have to practice faith? Is it something you can choose to do or not do? Of course. If we could not lose our salvation, we would be a mindless robot. We have the freedom of choice to love God or to leave Him even after we chose Him at some point. God will not stop us from leaving Him because that would be unloving and forceful. Force is not love. Can you retain your salvation if you say your already saved, then sin wildly for the rest of your life? Of course not...but many don't understand God's Word and do this exact thing.

@@CountryLivingExperience the Apostle John wrote his first epistle so that we may “know that we have eternal life” 1 John 5:13… Eternal life is forever. If it’s not forever, it’s not eternal. It doesn’t say anything about hoping we end up with eternal life. It’s a possession we have right now. We are not “born again”, indwelt by the Holy Spirit, who “seals us unto the day of redemption” Eph 4:30…only to lose all of that by our own sins. You seem to be caught up in some view of free will that is not taught in scripture. You wrote some great questions here. They all have answers that are based on scripture. It’s important to derive your theology from scripture, rather than impose your views upon scripture. Read John 17 and tell me if you think Jesus’s prayer was answered.
@CountryLivingExperience
@CountryLivingExperience 2 ай бұрын
I never said it was not eternal. It is, if you choose it. You can choose it and then reject it later. Please consider these points brother..... Those passages assure us of the promise of salvation and eternal life but in no way do they indicated permanence of that salvation if we turn away. Hebrews 10:26-29 says “For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?” Once saved, always saved theology is very dangerous and not Biblical. People often believe that they have a holy experience and then accept God, which is great, but they never fully commit to Him and continue to sin thinking that it will not have any affect on their salvation. It does, they will lose it. The Bible is replete with scripture stating to turn from sin (which is true repentance). Ephesians 2:8” For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.” This means that you need to maintain your faith in Jesus. You have a part to play. Faith is active. If you lose your faith, you are in trouble. Once saved theology also conflicts with the free will which God gave to us. This will is active and we must continually choose God over satan. We must have a constant consistent relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The verses you mention do not mean that once we come to Jesus, we lose the freedom to turn away from Him. God is love and He does not force us to do anything. God promises that if we freely come to Him, He will never turn us away. But, it is the very nature of God to not force us to stay if we decide to leave. If we abide in Him, God will never let go of us, but we are always free to let go of Him, to stop abiding whenever we please. Faithfulness in a marriage requires commitment on the part of both parties. God is the groomsman and we are His bride. Saul was spirit-filled and chosen by God. He fell away and perished. Judas cast out demons in Jesus name and yet fell away and was lost. Most clearly in Revelation 3:5, it is clear that the Church at Sardis (people whom had accepted Jesus already) was rebuked and told to turn from their bad behavior or they would lose their salvation. Paul warned, “I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you-unless you believed in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:1-2). The word “if” suggests that ongoing faith is a condition for our salvation. If we do not hold fast, we are believing in vain. 2 Peter 2:20 “For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.” They knew Jesus and then turned away. These passages only scratch the surface of all of the various passages that reveal that a saved Christian can so sin as to lose their own eternal life. The Bible teaches to die to self daily. This is an active command of God. It is unbiblical to teach that we continue to be among God’s chosen when we go off and do our own thing. I work off of the Word of God only. Sola Scriptura. Have a blessed evening my friend. Please continue to study God’s Word.

I wanted to write you. I really enjoy your channel but there are a few things you are misguided on. Hell is forever and you can not lose your salvation. Jesus said, I'll lose none the father has given me. The bible says it's not open for interpretation. Revelation says in hell there is weaping and gnashing of teeth forever. Salvation is a gift, we do not earn it.
@CountryLivingExperience
@CountryLivingExperience 2 ай бұрын
I appreciate you writing to me and for talking about these subjects. You are correct in that the Bible is not up for interpretation. It is very clear on both of these subjects and I will very respectfully disagree with you on both. We need to use the totality of scripture in our studies. Praise God we have the opportunity to talk about this. Isaiah 1:18 says: Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord… Maybe you misunderstood what I said in terms of hell. A loving God would not burn continuously forever a person whom he loves for a short life of sin. The Bible teaches the punishment of the wicked is death and that death is everlasting, meaning permanent. The result lasts forever not the punishment itself. You will cease to exist as if you never were. You will be ash (Malachi 4:3) and the saved of God will trample on that ash. The wicked will be eternally separated from God. If you are in the lake of fire burning and feeling that pain you would be conscious and alive....not dead. Similarly, satan is also in the lake of fire and eventually burned up to never exist again. If he was still there burning for eternity, he would be alive eternally.....that is not Biblical. In Jude 7 it says that Sodom and Gomorrah were burned with everlasting or eternal fire. Are they burning today? No. The result of their destruction was eternal. They will never be rebuilt. God's Word tells us that “the wages of sin is” not eternal life in hellfire, but “death” (Romans 6:23) or eternal separation from God. The result of our punishment is eternal. It will never be reversed. But they will not be continuously punished. In terms of the once saved, always saved topic, Hebrews 10:26-29 says “For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
