I did a Soul of Cinder build not too long ago, and found that both Fire Knight Greatsword and Queelign's Greatsword bear an uncanny resemblance to the Firelink Greatsword used by the boss; Fire Knight's for sword phase and Queelign's for spear phase.

@pvtdoggo2261 Armor options weren't great, but I used Vyke's helm, altered Fire Knight chest, and Prelate gauntlets; I forget what leggings I used. For the magic phase I used Staff of the Great Beyond, and for the katana phase I used Rakshasa Great Katana.. Spells/incantations include Flame Grant Me Strength, Poison Mist, Giantsflame Take Thee, Comet, Carian Phalanx, and Fortissax's Lightning Bolt.

Katana? That's not a katana in in SoC's fight, it's a curved sword

@iota-09 Yes, but Great Katana is closer in appearance than other ER curved swords.

i love this weapon so much!! it's got the best range in its class (i think), looks amazing, and is a heavy thrusting sword, which imo is one of the best weapon types

And the best thing: It's a spear that isn't ruined by the fact of being an actual spear, so it doesn't have to suffer from one of the worst (non-ps) movesets in the game!

if someone is wielding a weapon with one hand, it will bounce off a shield.

i just love too much using the feint on HTS to rollcatch, if it's a followup to an R1 it's a guaranteed trade at minimum against most opponents, if it's a followup to an R2 of any kind it's a guaranteed on-reaction rollcatch or keepout unless they roll TWICE backwards(if they roll towards you, feint, if they roll once backwards, full charge, if they do anything else, feint or uncharged) and this on top of the aòready fun moveset of HTS which is the moveset that best of all makes use of the new jumping alongside the milady, being able to go toe-to-toe with even colossal weapons in terms of stamina damage against shield users. the only shame being the first R1 of the standard combo is meh at best...

Honestly, it's kind of a blessing in disguise (cope alert), that the most boring and basic move is kind of meh, so that you're more incentivised to use the whole thing. What I find sad is a few of the more situational tools being so bad, like the already pretty meh cr1 being nerfed even more for some unfathomable (well, very fathomable. From has little sense of pvp and they mistranslate community sentiments bafflingly at times) reason and now it's really tough to find uses for, even if it could and should have one. Still love the weapon type.

@@qwormuli77 eh, at least it's still anti-air... but yeah that cr1 has barely any use as of now, best i can think of is it can mask your aility to do R2s decently as almosto nobody does those while crouched... but for a good reason i guess.
