🏚️ A week at the Cabin | Reminding myself of the Things I love 🏚️ Dream #11

Dear Dreamer,
let us sneak away together to the most peaceful place I know.
And then I like to show you a couple of those things I love to do. Like exploring new places, making fire, crocheting a dishcloth, swimming in a lake, cuddling with Bray, coming up with a lullaby on the spot, baking flatbread with a wood oven, and going on a 12-kilometer hike through the black forest.
We might scare a couple of sheep along the way, or patiently have to teach Bray how to swim, but I promise it will be fun and absolutely worth it.
So how about it? Do you want to join me on my little trip to the cabin, step through the wooden doors into my dream and spend a week with me?

Flatbread: Recipe
350g of flour
200ml of water
5 teaspoons of olive oil
Instructions:
mix the ingredients together and knead them till you have a smooth dough
let the dough sit for 20-30 minutes
add a little bit more flour and form little balls. If the dough is still sticky add more flour
Press the balls flat and bake them in a hot pan from both sides till crisp. Turn the flatbread a couple of times. It is rising a little.

This was just a delightful adventure to share. It looks to be an idyllic place, can certainly understand why you love to go there when the opportunity rises. Those views! Now that we're heading into late fall, early winter, the memories of that week will, I'm sure, help you through the longer nights and shorter days. We were fortunate to be able to spend a couple of weeks at a friend's cottage on the Bruce Peninsula, Northern Ontario, in late August early September. It was amazing to get away, see different landscapes, and to have peace and quiet for a change, rather than the busy noisy city which is always around us. I understand attempting to find balance between those things I love to do, and those things I have to do. For your many words of wisdom, my friend...I thank you! 💞 Marian 🇨🇦

Dear Marian, it was such a great adventure and getaway, and I am so grateful that I did it. It is such a blessing to be able to distance yourself from routine and everyday life once in a while and just enjoy new views and impressions. I´m so happy for you, that you were able to get away as well. Living in a small cottage sounds absolutely dreamy 😊💚 And leaving the city noise behind is definitely a perk. I would not go back to it after living there for six years but it makes you appreciate the quiet and peace of country life even more 😊 Sending you lots of love Lexi
