Hey guys!
You guys are the best! It was my birthday yesterday and so many of you sent messages and love my way. I can't believe I am another year older! Any Pisces in the house today?!?
I just got back to the U.S. and I miss Paris already. It was such a crazy time, but I had so much fun! I had a special someone join me in Paris, any guesses who? My last vlog was all about what goes in preparation for the shows during Paris Fashion Week. There is so much that happens in the hours leading up to a show, so come hangout with me backstage and see what really goes on!
So here is a quick breakdown of what goes on days before a show. First, there is a casting held by a brand usually by a casting director, this person makes their selection of who they want for a show. Next, the models chosen will have to come in for a fitting for their looks and that is where adjustments are made so that the clothes are perfect.
On the day of a show models arrive maybe 3-4 hours before the show starts, but some models are coming from other shows. The craziest show experience I had was arriving 10 minutes before the show started and still making it onto the runway in time! When we first get to the location we have a little bit of free time and then MADNESS! Hair and makeup, followed by a trial or practice run of the show, final adjustments to our looks, and then we are off to the runway! Has anyone here been to a fashion show? What did you think?

I am just a South Dakota nerdy girl but have been following you a while now, and I am proud to say that I just took my first trip abroad (solo with just a backpack for 2 weeks!) and I visited Amsterdam and Paris (the week after fashion week!) among other places, six countries in all, and I loved both places. I wish I'd had more time and had maybe had the pleasure of meeting you, you seem like such a genuinely nice human! Thank you for the lovely videos and the time you give us to enjoy the things you see and experience! You mentioned new cameras (in this video? or maybe your latest? I'm catching up!) and I got the Sony a6400 right before my trip, thinking it will be a good vlogging camera for my upcoming resurrected youtube channel for me to restart my online presence with perhaps mountain living and everyday lifestyle and dating and cooking videos. So far I love the camera, although I broke the kit lens in London and had to buy an additional lens on the road. I got the Sony SEL1670Z, a great overall travel and vlogging lens! This weekend I finally have time to look at all of my pics and vids from the trip and will upload more to my insta @michelletech and will be adding to my youtube channel soon too :) Love your channel!
