Vanessa YOU DO WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY, that’s all that matters. And WELCOME HOME, honestly Scotland is the best place to raise children and they can have AMAZING holidays in Ghana once you complete your holiday home there. I’ve a holiday house in Tobago and my kids love spending summers there. When I retire and my kids grown up, I plan to spend my summers in Scotland and winters in Tobago, and you and your husband can maybe do the same with Ghana….we are blessed to have the BEST OF BOTH WORLDS 🥰💝

Yep Dela is the only one standing and even with her who knows? Maybe her husband is gone to grind over there in the UK for some money to support them. It is not easy as you think in Ghana. Young people stop wasting the young age and work this time in abroad and invest in 401k so that you can have cash flow in Ghana when you come to retirement age. Abandoning your corporate jobs and moving to an African country with no source of residual income coming in every month is not smart.

My dream and goal is to spend 6 months in the homeland in winter and 6 months in UK for summer. . Everyone who moves permenantly usually come back. Always best to have your base in the country you were born in. It may not be perfect but you will eventually miss it and want to come home. I say this from experience. I rented my London home out to travel and within 3 months I wanted to come home. Have elderly relatives that sold up and moved to Jamaica. All of them either regretted it, moved back or died within a few months of being there. Half and half is the best balance. 💯

My late parents retired to Ghana. However, they made frequent long trips to the UK. Ghana is not an easy country to live in especially for the young. If you’re born or have lived in the the West for a long time you realise how deficient Ghana is of so many things. Good healthcare binging one of the main factors. Also, someone needs to do a documentary on why Ghana is so expensive, it’s absolutely ridiculous and simply doesn’t make any sense. It’s hardly Switzerland. There are far more developed African countries that are much cheaper. Kawme Nkrumah, would be turning in his grave. In fact there was a recent report, with the following headline, ‘’Why is Ghana one of the most expensive countries in the world.” I have a love hate relationship with Ghana. But needless to say, one day I intend to make the country my home as well as the UK.😂😁
@revelationat2g12 жыл бұрын
Ghana becomes expensive depending on the individual choices. Banku N tilapia is GHC 40 but same thing sold at labadi beach at GHC 120. Renting at east legon for $1500 - $2000 a month, same amount can pay for 6 - 9 months in kwabenya, lakeside, tema. Using uber, bolt etc will cost, it will be better getting yourself a small car with 1000cc - 1500cc for your rounds N not ford F150.

@@revelationat2g1 That’s not true. I frequently send money to relatives so they can buy the basics. All staple food has increased in price and that includes products that are produced in Ghana. Ivory Coast is much cheaper. Housing, food etc. Petrol is also expensive because Ghana doesn’t process it’s own oil. It’s about time the country showed a bit of foresight. This is what the Asian countries did after independence and they’ve never looked back.

Seriously Ghana businesses import yoghurt and butter from the UK!!! There are some things that don't make economic sense to import especially if they can be produced locally at a cheaper price and with plenty of local raw materials available. Even the impact on the environment to ship or airlift tonnes of yoghurt and butter from UK to Ghana is unnecessary. All that is required to make butter and yoghurt is milk and there are plenty of cows and plenty of milk in Ghana. Making butter and yoghurt in Ghana instead of importing will create more businesses, give money to diary farmers, create jobs in small scale industries, save the environment and also guarantee affordable butter and yoghurt. So that was interesting to see brands like clover butter and yeo Valley yoghurt on a supermarket shelf in Ghana. Thanks Vanessa for the great videos.
