A 'Week in My Life in Nottingham' is only a 13 minutes video where I summarise the things I did and the places I went to here in Nottingham. Hope you enjoy the city and let me know if this is a type of video you'd like to watch more on my channel.
Don't forget to comment down my question to you and your questions that you want to ask me.
🐻 About Me
My name is Anica and I was born and raised in Italy, Rome in 1998. I'm originally from Bangladesh and I've been living in the UK for 6 years, so you could say I'm multinational. I'm studying Adult Nursing at the University of Nottingham, but I'm probably going to be like those people who study something but end up doing something completely different as a career.
✈️ My KZbin Project
It's a research about me travelling to explore, interview people and tell you about life satisfaction and living expenses of different cities across the UK. This is so that I can find the right place to live. I hope this project helps you to decide where you want to live next too.

It has been said you will find your genius when you know who you are. The insights you are learning about yourself shows you are on the path to finding that genius that’s inside you. And your little bookshelf rocks. 😊 I have a strong feeling you’re going to be fine. The obstacle is the way. I hope you can enjoy the process and trust yourself. You’re young... and beautiful. Go for love, love of people, love of yourself and love of work. You can adjust course as you go. You are not only smart, you are wise and introspective. Fly! And enjoy.

I’m in love with how raw and genuine you are with us, by sharing the feelings you have. I’d rather want a situation where I didn’t have to choose, it’s like I wanna have money but doing job that I love. I’m a physiotherapist and am a very introverted person, I can completely understand how draining it is to be round, too many people at all the time. I wish you the best xx

How was Nottingham City Hospital? I was actually born there and my mum was also a nurse there. It's such a crazy coincidence, I started watching your since you lived in Leicester. Edit - my grandma and aunty live in Park Estate! You were so close to their house!

Yooo you are not ungrateful! At some point you though that’s what you wanted out of life and now after getting more hands on info you find it’s not quite for you. That is 100% ok! We learn and grow all the time. Maybe one day you are a graphic designer for a medical company and all this knowledge gives you an advanced perspective. You never know. Thanks for the videos! I’m accepted into a masters program in September and they are keeping me from getting too stressed out about it. Loved the park btw? What’s it called?

I really like these kind of videos. 👏🏽I would choose love, family love, friend love, self love, boyfriend love. Money is important and helps us survive but love and human contact is what make us enjoy and appreciate every step of the way in life. My question is how many years you re in the UK and was it easy to make friends?

In answer ot the question.. love! If we had more love for each other we maybe would all have a bit more money too ;) Have you ever visited allotments? Like you i was born in another country and found it hard to settle here, the people are so different to home. Working on my allotment has given me a sense of purpose and place. They are a fantastic resource, run by the local council. There are lots of community allotments too, a really good place to meet people. If you want to visit Sheffield and look around allotments let me know. Thanks for the really good informative vids too!

Whats the best place to live in Nottingham...i mean like a good neighbourhood?
@johnd6487
@johnd6487 3 жыл бұрын
That’s very subjective, there are good and bad parts of most neighbourhoods. Desirable areas to live include The Park (just to the west of the city centre, literally next to Nottingham Castle), West Bridgford (small suburban town just outside the ‘city’ to the immediate south the boundary being the river Trent. 10 to 20 minutes bus ride to get into town depending on what part of Bridgford you are in), Wollaton (very similar to West Bridgford - I’m actually not sure if Wollaton is still within the ‘city’ - but it is out to the west, and again between 10 and 20 minutes bus ride to the city centre - but is very close to the UoN campus and QMC) and Mapperley which is to the North East, and right on the edge of the greater Nottingham and also 10 to 20 - possibly 30 minutes bus ride from its extremities, although from the properties out there, you’d probably have quite a walk to find a bus in the first place. As I said, they’re desirable, so they’re expensive.. and not necessarily very suited to student life (though West Bridgford has a small student community near the river, and I’d imagine Wollaton has similar areas as parts of it are very close to the UoN campus and QMC hospital) assuming you’re coming as a student, you might want to check out the areas with accommodation geared to students. It feels like every other new development in Nottingham City centre is student accommodation - geared mostly to NTU students as most of the campus is also in the city centre, and the City itself is quite a fun vibrant place to live, with a nightlife to match. Similarly, head to the west of the city to Lenton and you’ll find accommodation aimed at UoN students, placed nicely between the university campus and the city centre.

I agree with John. I'll stay on the west side of the city like Lenton, Beeston and Park Estate (and Wollaton too) if you are a student. But if you just want to move here, then there are plenty of good areas around the city like West Bridgford and Mapperley Park as John mentioned but there are other good areas too. Areas to avoid are St.Anns, Sneinton, Hyson Green, Radford, Meadows, Broxtowe, Top Valley, Bestwood and Bulwell. Note that the east and north east side of the city is very hilly though.
