I was in Korea at the same time as this vlog, flew back to Germany on the 7th of May. And even though the mask mandate was lifted the last week people were constantly wearing them (including me). It´s weird coming back home now, especially since masks were still a thing in Germany five weeks earlier when I left and now they just disappeared and I feel really conflicted and uncomfortable in some situations. Have to get used to it ;) love the video as always

The whole "don't wear sportswear in Europe" was an old trope that people used to say to American tourists because back in the 60's, 70's and 80's it's true it wasn't common for europeans to wear sportswear as streetwear. However, it's 2022 and things are definetely different now. So wear your leggins/joggers/sneakers in Europe, it's fine!! As a tour guide, the only thing I would recommend is to bring some more formal clothes if you're planning to go to the theater or the opera or a fancier restaurant, as people here tend to dress up for those ocassions. Other than that - stay comfy.

A couple of years ago I started to make a list of what I packed versus what I wore and that helped me to pair down to truly the essentials. I might think I need five different pairs of shorts for a five day trip, but I’m probably just going to wear my favourite ones multiple times. I haven’t been on a trip for longer than five days since I started my list experiment, but I’m still able to pack for a trip without having to check a bag!

Hi Cari! More cues for your French vacation: Your « Bonsoir » and « Paris Je t’aime » were French perfection pronunciation. The neighborhoods in Paris are actually called « arrondissements » and in « croissants », one doesn’t pronounce the « nts » as in « arrondissements !! ». Have fun in Europe!
