9:48 this career advice is spot on! I reached out to a friend/colleague once and their team created a unique role just for me. After some years there, I didn’t see anything that felt right so I embarked on a different path. I have been semi-retired since last summer and started my entrepreneur journey with my first product this past month.

I studied in biotechnologies to work in laboratory and have been an employee for over 10 years now. Always thought that's all I'll ever be because what else would I do? Never thought one second about doing anything in business; it's just not me right? But I started to learn more and read books and following your videos for over 3 years now have opened so many new doors. I am learning a lot of things and suddenly started to see possibilities about entrepreneurship and starting a business. I'm a masters students in global development, I started following Ali back in 2020 when I was working on my undergrad in history and wanted some ideas on how to work for assignments, be self-motivated and productive and getting into the headspace really saved me in lockdown. I'm a student and want to start my own business. I started one for a little bit but then I realized I hated doing that thing. And because I have ADHD, doing something I hate is EXTREMELY difficult no matter how much I push. So I stopped. Now I've gotten into graphic design lately and love it. I'm a 50 yr old SEN primary teacher. I had a career change late in life. Therefore, I'm on a very low teachers pay scale for my age and stage in life. I've been following Ali for years (!) Because I would really like to have my own social media business one day. However, my day to day job is so tiring that I have not taken any steps yet (apart from doing research via reading books recommended by Ali and listening to podcasts). Hi Ali and team, In answer to your question, “what is my relationship to entrepreneurship”. Answer: I am a wantrepeneur, I have been an hvac technician/ electrician for the last 20 or so years and I’m an incredibly slow learner, ie it is only just dawning on me that I am swapping my time for money (I’m a full time employee) I feel like I have a lot more to offer, my biggest fear right now is that I’m 47 years old and have never started a business… I think your Chanel is brilliant, and of all the people I follow on this topic your personality is the one I “vibe with” most.. I have never understood the point of an offsite event where you are in the silly meetings about vision and values all day, and you do not have time to visit any museums or enjoy yourself. Instead, you have a mandatory fun till 3 am in the bar after the work day, and then you’re a wreck because you have to get up at 7 am to get ready for the next day.
