So sad you weren't able to compete this year! Unfortunately I wasn't able to compete this year due to covid-19, and last year my friends and I did a trio and unfortunately we weren't aloud to compete in the NY finals (again due to covid-19) (the finals last year were in april) but FORTUNATELY we are going this (technically next) year which is exciting though! Hopefully we can all be competing again soon! 🥰💖😘

Hi!! So I’m 14 and this is my first year of actually doing a Ballet class for the first time in YEARS and so this year I started in Ballet 3 and for my June recital I get to perform the La Esmeralda Variation and it’s so exciting!! But apparently according to my studio manager in my class specifically we're allowed to wear whatever color we want atleast until I move up to the advanced class 😂 Gotta take advantage of that now and get my noelle dancewear leotard while I'm still allowed to wear it

This is kind of off topic but...So i injured my achilles tendon about a week ago and I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for strengthening exercises for my feet that won't injure it any further, or anything i can do to make it heal faster. It has taken me a long time to get the strength i have in my feet right now, and i really really don't want to lose it.

honestly, dont strain it at all. stay off of it or it will take longer to go away. single legged releves help with strengthening, also foot/ankle excersises with a band help. :)

How do you save enough money for pointe shoes? I am thirteen and I and really worried about my parents. I'm going to get as many jobs as possible this summer, walking dogs and washing cars I think. Will it be enough? I'm going to be en pointe sooo much this summer, so I am really nervous about wearing out my pointe shoes because they cost so much. I'm not willing to dance on dead shoes because medical bills are even more insane, but how do you make enough money? I need tips for this because come the school year, I won't be able to juggle dance, school, friends, family, and one job, let alone another. What should I do? My parents are really strong financially but these shoes... They just cost so much. It scares me.

I think you'll be fine. As long as you dont wear freeds (those die quickly) or gaynors (those last a while but are expensive) your shoes shouldnt cost too much. At 13 you shouldnt be going through shoes super quick if you are I would recommend trying a different brand

My first pair of pointe shoes were grishkos and they lasted me an entire year. Mostly likely, you won't be breaking in your shoes very quickly as a beginner.
