With my pointe shoes I take my t i m e. Like I spend so long just gently moulding them and bending them and pushing them with my feet until they feel ok. It’s actually really worth it though, they die slower👏

I know nothing about ballet, so I have questions. If ballerinas have to destroy new shoes to make them wearable, why do they keep getting new ones? Why not just wear old ones? Again, I know nothing. I thought the rigidness of the new ones would give ballerinas better support and that’s why ballerinas go through so many shoes so quickly?
