Hi Jon! I'm a phD student watching your videos from South Korea. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to visit Google in Silicon Valley and meet people working there. They were not only passionate about their work but also willing to mentor students in related fields, which was very inspiring to me. RTO stands for Return To Office. In general, RTO refers to a company'a policy that employees will be required to be in the office for X amount of days

WFH is nice, I love it as well, but you have to think of the employers or just even managers view. Nothing beats in person collaboration. IMO, hybrid is the best setup. ✌️

Thanks! I get all my music from epidemic sound, they have a good recommendation algorithm. Business class was superrrr nice, but I’d still be fine to fly economy. I haven’t taken a flight since then though, so TBD 😅

The main 3 ways are: 1. Studying computer science (or related) in college 2. Attending a bootcamp focused on the tech industry 3. Teaching yourself (through online courses/tutorials) There are pros and cons to each so I’d recommend looking up all three. Typically you’d choose the one that best fits your lifestyle/goals/time/resources. Hope that helps!

The whole point of a job is to go to work and get compensated for it. It isn't really supposed to be "fun" or "exciting" (if it is then that's great!), but making such drastic changes to lifestyle in order to simply work at home instead of driving 15 mins to an office makes it seem like you are taking everything you had for granted. You are in a good standing at which you are well compensated and living comfortably at your job. The trip to the office isn't such a huge burden on your life, so why make huge changes based on it?
