I want to transition to heat trained hair. Once you are heat trained, do you no longer use the LOC/LCO method? How do you moisturize your hair now? For perm rod sets or braidouts, do you stop using "styling/holding creams" because it will revert your hair? Instead, use mousse/foam?

Hey, I’m a straight natural and I’ve been wearing braid outs, and they have been coming out super duper cute. Once i shampoo and deep condition with a hydrating deep conditioner, my hair stays moisturized. Lco/loc isn’t necessary. When i get out the shower i use a very light leave in, mousse, and because i live in New Orleans and it’s super humid, a dot of a loose gel. Its soft and bouncy when i take it down, and generally lasts about 4 days (again I’m in the swamp and it’s humid all year round) hope that helps
