Well you mentioned the Gao restaurant, I looked it up and it's the start of No 1 for Collins Avenue, which goes on for miles and would make a lovely drive, anyways we stayed at what used to be called the Saxony Hotel, No. 3201 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach in 1981. It has an amazing history, glamorous destination for the Hollywood stars of its time, I didn't know that at the time, but what I did notice and remember was the Art Deco of the hotel it was fabulous, they had a nightclub on the top and I remember the views at night was special. It is now called the Faena Hotel. xxx
