Self-study or independent study requires a higher level of motivation and discipline. As long as you are set on completing the course, not fail and graduating, you can do it. I hope you find intrinsic motivation, just remember why you started studying your course, so regardless of the mode of instruction, you'll find excitement. You must create your own schedule. Don't just sit on your desk all day. Get up, leave your schoolwork on your desk, and then talk to family members and friends on your phone away from your desk. Maybe schedule a stream party or watch a movie in between your classes. You can do it, Sophie.

i agree with u when you said online school is tiring than going to school! to me i feel like going to school at least you do your work productively and u go back home u can rest but now doing work and resting in the same place makes it more stressful

As a person who has been into online school 2 years before this COVID mess, online school is not a fear for me, it's also something I won't celebrate either. Since I study in a public school, my fear is not being able to actually study and academic freeze might take effect. With my experience in mind, I can say the following: - Yes, the learn at your own pace is a big fat lie. Used to believe that, but it doesn't work like that. - Yes, my prescription was raised by like 2.25+ because I stared at my laptop and phone from 7 in the morning to 4 in the evening. - It's harder to get in the honors as well because regular students (what we call in our school) have the advantage of having extracurricular activities - I can say that the adjustment period took me a whole quarter. It depends on the student, some of my classmates took one whole grade to adjust and others took less than a month - Online school made me learn independently. I started not liking teachers because I don't really need them anymore. - It got my whole life together. I started using planners, calendars, everything that I can use to organize my things. I also started taking notes and watching educational videos on youtube. (They are a Godsend! Watch them) - Study groups are very useful, only if you have school friends (sadly, I don't) I hope this helps all of you adjusting to this new system of learning during this pandemic. Thank you!

Yep online schools sounds scary to me. We are starting next week and I don't really feel up to it but I have to or else I will fall behind. I already can't understand some lessons when a teacher explains it to me face to face. How much more if I were the one to teach myself. Lol.

@@spideymark7322 I understand that as I also went through that... I can say is that try harder. I refrained from watching anime videos and focus only on studying during school time. I even almost quitted art because I wasn't getting the grades I desired. Take advantage of the YT videos... online school is only scary at first, but you will get the hang of it.

To be honest. We are not adapt to this online class. Unlike in other part of the world. But stay positive. I have 2 daughters who were in Grade 2 and 3 this year, and not yet starting their classes. They go to public school and the start of class move to October 5. I’m watching other online class vlogs, because I want to get some idea on how it works. Do you have a study tracker? Of course, it’s different from you, because you can handle it on your own. Where as for me, I have to guide them while working at home.
