I actually really like the somewhat chewy BK onion rings, I hate it when I bite an onion ring and there's a huge sloppy piece of onion inside that just pulls out. That said, his looked decimated.

I have to say, even as a shareholder of McDonalds, I prefer Burger King. McDonalds meat just tastes bland, whereas the Burger King flame grill really does it for me. Though the BK menu specials are less exciting, each month Maccies comes out with one or two new things, or a returning classic. Granted none of it is great food, but it hits the spot sometimes!

My local Burger King always serves them like that. I think they're often inedible. The only redeeming feature is how cheap they are compared to the other sides.

I love onion-rings, but yeah. The inside of their onion-rings is so mushy! I love the onion-ring sauce. Like a mix of mayo, ketchup, and horseradish.

The BK in town here hasn't given up on breakfast yet, but a lot of the fast food has. Taco bell dumped theirs for about a year and just recently started selling that menu again (but only from 9-11 AM). The chicken "royale" is just called the classic chicken here and it's the fakest processed chicken ever but it does have a very unique texture and taste that make it nostalgic in a way.

To be honest you're best off avoiding that first Burger King anyway as I've never had a good burger from there. It even had to close down for a while about 3 or 4 years ago because the kitchen caught fire and burnt a big hole in the roof. The one at Marston Moretaine is a bit better, but to be honest the best one is the one by Currys just off the V6 next to the A5 junction in MK. Certainly don't go to the one in Bletchley as it is terrible

Burger King is one of those fast food chains that I never really tried that often. Think twice as a child when I was with a childhood friend and once I was starving driving home to parents from college and stopped at one and got their chicken fries. And I remember liking those. xD Will be interesting to see how the week goes! I will admit they did an impeccable job at putting that burger together. Not sad and squished yet.

Same, my area just didn't have any BKs but had a few Maccies, so it was inevitable I'd be more used to Maccies. Yet when I happened to be near a BK when I was wanting a burger one time, I went in, and that flame grilled beef really does taste distinctly different from the sad bland McDonalds burger. Honestly if McDonalds brought out a McFlamed burger or such I'd never have a reason to eat in BK ever again.

As a vegetarian in the US, this is one of a few places I can reliably find something to eat, since they still carry the Impossible Whopper. I'd be interested to see your opinion of one, but I do know your general opinion of meatless options, so no pressure! Hope you and Grace are well! ❤

They dont have impossible burgers in the uk instead its just a plant based whopper and its cooked on the same grills as meat so its not vegan. Even as a meat eater i want to try impossible burger just to try it ive heard its the best plant based burger but we cant get it in the uk

@KingEurope1 so it doesnt use real impossible burgers but uses there trademark? Impossible isnt avaliable in uk/eu yet because the plant based heme which gives a meaty taste has yet to be made legal here they finally got some impossible chicken nuggets from some places in uk but not burgers yet

It has been about a year since I've gotten anything from BK and before that it had been many years, maybe 5. From what I remember about 10/15 years ago, BK used to be on par with McDonalds in terms of decent quality fast food. (I know, debatable whether fast food is good quality at all). The last thing I had from BK one year ago was the chicken royale with bacon and cheese and it was bloody awful. The chicken was rubbery, the bacon was soft with jelly like fat on it and the cheese was an easy single slice that was not in the slightest bit melted. I have a feeling it will be many years before I go back if at all.

New house, Mike? Anyway, quite serendipitous you post this today as after dropping mum and her friend off at a restaurant me and my dad went for a quick tea at Burger King. We both had a Double Bacon Cheeseburger meal with regular fries and drink from the Coke Freestyle machine (dad had Orange Fanta, I had Cherry Sprite Zero). Hit the spot, kept us before we went to the pub for a jar or three.

My local BK burnt down. It took about 4 months to demolish and rebuild. Since then the portion sizes have SHRANK! Got a double bacon XL and it was the same patty and bun size as a McDonalds cheeseburger and got 13 fries with the burger..... Furry muff to say i haven't returned. Shame because i do like a good BK, But when you get a BAD one it tends to be really REALLY bad.

It's always the same, I think that I like onion rings and order them but I rarely ever finish them. Even when I am not eating them in a fast food joint, I eat a few of them but then, I guess they lose their appeal. I'm like an amnesia patient because I always forget I don't really like onion rings...

I prefer bk to mcdonalds burgers that flame grilled taste there so much nicer than the cardboard passed as beef in mcdonalds so they cover it up with sauces but sadly the bk is too far away so only get to have mcdonalds most of the time theres mcdonalds everywhere but theres only like 2 burger kings nearby but there too far to get delivery

Here in Australia, Burger King is called Hungry Jacks due to a copyright dispute with a burger place that was already using the name, long before the franchise was introduced here. So we've been spared having to see the Burger King face with its elongated plastic beard. Hungry Jacks doesn't even have a mascot. Eventually, the Australian Burger King place that was stopping Burger King from using the name went out of business, so Burger King USA started opening up their own Burger Kings in Australia, in direct competition with the Australian Hungry Jacks franchise owner. Hungry Jacks then took Burger King to court, and won, meaning that all the newly built Burger King restaurants had to rebrand themselves as Hungry Jacks, and pay their franchise fees directly to the Australian owner. So, apart from the name change, and lack of a plastic faced King mascot, the Hungry Jacks menu is pretty much the same as the Burger King menu, with Whoppers and Whopper variants being their signature burgers. We do get better onion rings though, if what you've got is anything to go by. Battered and greasy, but always in need of salt, because no matter how many times you tick the box to have extra salt added, they always arrive unseasoned.

it sucks that the ones near you dont have breakfast that is my favorite time of day at burger king. It sucks about the onion rings as well when they arent overcooked or cooked in old oil they are one of my favorite places to get them at. Some franchise owners when it comes to fast food cut spending by using the fryer oil way longer than they should which eventually gives food a bitter taste but can also make it wsy to overcook and burn some items faster.

I normally treat myself to a burger 🍔 from the hotdog and burger stands outside b and q. They add American mustard and grilled onions but I add my own 🍅 tomatoes, a few more finely cut onions, Jalapeños and sauces I’ve kept from other places too.

The last few burgers I’ve ordered ended up in the bin sadly!

@@roxannesolomon2320 ironic given they recently ran an ad campaign with someone saying they used artificial smoke flavour and then ended it saying "no lies 100% grilled beef" or something. It's probably done more to make their customers think their food is fake and circulated conspiracy theories regarding them, negative brand association parody is always a weird way to go with adverts. Atroic would say it is a very "not poggers" move by Burger King, certified fail.
