I enjoyed this week, but it would have been more interesting to go into M&S each day as they do the final reductions. Not only would it have been much cheaper, it would have been interesting to see what meals it would have resulted in. I used to work next to M&S and would often pop in after work. I'd only spend a few quid but would get a basket full of really nice food. I just had to work out how to make a sensible looking meal from my odds and ends!

Good job on surviving another week, and congratulations on your first day of A Week On Tesco passing the 1 million views mark. I'm looking forward to the next one: A Week On Cat Food. I used to work at m&s! We use the first stickers (on your pizza) earlier in the day when we have more time for the product to sell or a small number of the product going out of date that day. We use the other stickers (on the potato wedges) when we do second or third reductions later in the day. These stickers can also be used when we have a lot of a product we need to get rid of because there is a function in the scanner that allows us to make the product a lower price (within reason) so they sell before the end of the day! Hope that make sense

So-she does not 100%remember when the best bargains are , but she said it was definitely afternoons,towards end of close. She actually also said that the last hour to 2hours of opening on Christmas Eve-the big bargains will be. When M&S reduce things, they can select from 3 different pre set prices, being first, second and third reductions. The idea being that select first reduction in the morning, then second or third later in that day. For some reason, when on first reduction, the original price of the item is not shown on the yellow sticker.
@georgedewey50396 жыл бұрын
I work at M&S Darent Valley Hosp and basically the reason there’s a second sticker is because they’ve been reduced on ‘seconds’ . They are reduced for the first time earlier in the day and a few hours before close we reduce them again if they haven’t sold in an effort to get them sold .

the products that are reduced at the start of the day get reduced more as the day goes on, the reason you see the original price on the wedges here is because it was on it’s second or third reduction of the day, this is why if you go later on you should get bigger reductions but obviously there will be less choice as more will have sold

Also I would love to see a week on Olio food pick ups and a week on a food bank parcel (this one would be quite educational and raise awareness but obviously food parcels need to go to the really needy so you would have to ask them if they would let you do it for your video and perhaps if you did one we subscribers could all donate £1 to their PayPal email to make up for them letting you have one).

Compared to prices where I live in Canada this actually doesn't seem that bad of a price. Works out to about $100, and for good brand food. You also don't typically find fresh preprepped meals like a lot of the things you made here, basically they all come frozen.
