Another feel good production!!...awesome content as always To think of all the possible instances I would have met you in on campus, given corona was not a thing, but the vlogs sure do fill in that void in a way, all in all your channel is essential!

The book does sound like an interesting read although the energy conversion methods it discusses would appear useful only once one has arrived at an extrasolar planet. It doesn't seem to address how to develop a propulsion technology capable of attaining velocities sufficient to reach even the nearest stars in our lifetime let alone stars outside our tiny region of the galaxy. The only theoretical propulsion system I've heard of relies upon antimatter which the book does mention but the cost of creating the necessary amounts of antimatter are ludicrous to the point of being fanciful. So unfortunately I think we're stuck in a rather hostile Solar System for the remainder our lifetimes and quite possibly the lifetimes of all people yet to be born before our species expires.

He elaborates at length as to why its important to become a Kardashev civilization Level 2 before attempting to create antimatter as it just requires so much power.
