Elementary is definitely my biggest comfort show. I cycle through it, Bones, and Person of Interest (all american shows) almost constantly. Sometimes I also sprinkle in Castle (through season 6), and Criminal Minds. I'm all about the crime shows that become formulaic so I'm not left guessing. I also will find YT channels I adore and watch their videos over and over on a loop until I think in their voices and their aesthetics - especially journaling/planner creators. I also just want you to know that your commonplace book inspired me to add a writers notebook back into my journal system. I tried to keep my writing in my bullet journal and it never felt right. I'm in a bujo TN system and so I added a slightly smaller notebook in that will only be for creative/expressive writing and it's aesthetic in my system feels to me like your field notes. Thank you, for making your system work for you and inspiring others to be innovative in their own way.

Your channel is my new comfort addiction! Aesthetically pleasing footage, your voice/accent is very clear and calming too! I'm also autistic, I used to keep a planner all the time, I grew up constantly dragging around sketchbooks. A few years ago I experienced severe burn out so I'm kind of still figuring out how much I can commit to now without taking on too much. I'm in therapy and one thing that gets mentioned is journaling - thus I've decided to re-open my passion for writing and journaling. Less about the planner side of things simply because my to-do lists have decreased and I fear triggering myself into trying to do too much. But a journal for venting out thoughts/feelings as a safe space is my goal. I intend to have one as a common place/general review and to track positive things. A separate book for the more darker/negative or symptomatic things that I can go over with my therapist. I want to have more just haven't sorted out what else to add... Possibly a small sketchbook insert and a weekly to-do to help me stay on track. Idk but your videos are full of inspiration!

My comfort show is Mushishi! It taught me a lot as a young person about accepting my disability and seeing myself as part of nature, not separate from it. But it's really my comfort show because the sound effects and atmosphere are so special. I get a lot of comfort from your videos like this one, thank you.

Proving I stuck around til the end….I’m much older than most of your viewers, but I’m on the spectrum. Got diagnosed when I was 37 (53 now) and my two children are also on the spectrum. My comfort shows and movies are anything that Stephen King has produced himself and Friends and Frasier tv-series! You really make me think about stuff I haven’t before in terms how you feel and why you feel a certain way. Thank you for that! It keeps me alert and I use it in the way I relate to my children and others with autism. 🙏🏻

I was also diagnosed in my late 30s (38), but I'm only 40. I love and rewatch Frasier every year or two. I consider it a guilty watch, because over the years I've moved further and further Left and the show is basically "wealthy liberals create their own problems", but it's funny enough to make up for it.

When you talked about stealing empty note books from school I screamed, I used to do the same thing. My teacher had this shelf filled with art and stationary supplies. I love how you use your notebooks. I have a journal that I write in regularly. It's mostly just text and not really free form. I would love to do that more but it also seems daunting to me to change the way I work in certain books, so I end up whit 4-6 different sketchbooks/journals in my bag. because I feel the need to categorise everything beforehand. But the idea of adding an other little book as a commonplace book sounds lovely 😊

The Lord of the Rings trilogy and soundtracks are my ultimate comforts - I have fallen asleep while sick and woken up to the “change disk” screen so many times; the Return of the King soundtrack will knock me out within the first few minutes, even if I was previously struggling to settle. Otherwise, it’s My Neighbor Totoro. I don’t do shows very well, so will otherwise watch your videos or I’ve started following some vlog channels from Korean cafes and Japanese/Korean daily life for making drinks, making food (mostly bento), and cleaning/organizing their apartments. 😹

I really enjoy this kind of videos. I usually watch them early morning on the weekends, unless I have time right when you post them. So it is always cuddled in bed with my cat or with a cup of coffee or tea. I also spend about 20 minutes to 1 hour on my book, mostly because I journal about my day or do some common-placing, depending on how I’m feeling. I really don’t do it every day, sometimes I really don’t feel it. Is more important for me that my time with my books is nice and sweet rather than a chore. However, there have been a couple times when I have spent a few hours on my book, not very good days. I feel the struggle about getting a job when you are neurodivergent. I do have a regular job, but the harm past jobs have done has not gone unnoticed. I feel like forcing myself to “fit” did me wrong, BUT it also game skills so… it was worth it I guess. However, I do not wish it to anyone and if you can choose a different path do it, just do it. I forgot. Pride and Prejudice 2005 and Dracula with Winona Rider. Those movies make me so happy. Two different things but that’s a good representation of me 😅

The "prove it" shocked me hahaha I didn't expect to be put on the spot like that especially because I never really thought about it before. I recently picked up the habit of tracking what shows and books I consume (inspired by you hehe) and that's really the only reason I can answer this question. I have watched Pride and Prejudice and Little Women twice each since the start of the year and I spent a whole 2 weeks watching Bluey as a 22 year old so I guess that's as close to "comfort" shows as I could ever get. The Lord of the Rings movies also have a special place in my heart and my friend and I both really enjoy watching Twilight over and over again. There are a lot of issues with Twilight (obv) but it's trashy and perfect brain rot material which is what we usually look for when we don't know what to watch. In a way, it's our go to when we don't want to think too hard, and I definitely don't need a lot of my brain cells to work to recite lines from the movies word per word.

I spend about 10-20 minutes in the morning. usually in my digital art journal but not always. It depends on my feelings and how awake I am. Then, I spend however long I need after work with a pen & paper journal. This is where I brain dump about the day & my feelings. What went well, what could have been better. I like doing it after work as it allows me to declutter the stress of the day. I can then move forward and be present in the evening with family, or be more creative in the evening as well. This takes about 30 minutes. Maybe longer, maybe shorter. I grew up watching various crime and documentary shows so I return back to them often. Studio Ghibili is a love I return back to often. I also enjoy watching KZbin Videos. Oh! I forgot to mention -- your videos are amazing, just the way they are!

Sometimes you'll say something and it will light a lightbulb in my head, and I realise why I have so much difficulty with a certain thing! Definitely got to the end, and my comfort shows are Supernatural, Battlestar Galactica and Stargate SG1.

Some of my all-time favorite comfort shows are Grimm, Sleepy Hollow, The Librarians, and Warehouse 13, more on the supernaturally side and from the 2000s to early 2010s. Some people would say they're bad but they're near and dear to me

My comfort show is Hilda. I love the art in it and all the beautifully illustrated little objects, and the ambiance and logic of the show is so unique and charming.

My comfort shows are k-dramas; I rewatch Healer, Pinocchio and a couple more. And when it comes to movies I rewatch: Pride and Prejudice, Shang Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings, and Tangled. When it comes to books the Percy Jackson and The Olympians series is my go to✨

I’m so happy you made a second video with this format! Loved the first one🥰 To answer your question, the amount of time I spend in my books really varies as well: if I’m brainstorming painting ideas or working something out I’ll easily spend a good hour in my commonplace, but other days I might just check in with my task list throughout the day so I’ll only spend like 10 minutes in it maybe? I definitely have to agree on the BBC Sherlock being a comfort show, I’ve rewatched it so many times I know most lines, also Supernatural is another one, especially the later seasons, and Anne with an E, I find the setting incredibly calming! (Also, I’ve used FreePrints a few times but always got the glossy prints because I thought with the matte colours wouldn’t show as nicely, but the look great! I’ll try it next time☺️) Hope you and Wednesday have a good week💌

Hellboy (2004), What We Do In The Shadows (2015), Adventure Time, and Red Dwarf are my biggest comfort movies and shows. I'm also a sucker for the late 90's - early 2000's supernatural cheese, but these are the shows I can probably quote in my sleep lol

i super enjoy these little insights into your journalling process and gentle «journal with me» type vibes ❤ off the top of my head, my comfort films/series would have to be what we do in the shadows (mainly the film, though i love the series as well), the x-files, bob’s burgers, golden girls, the LOTR films…probably loads i can’t think of and after i’ve posted this i’ll be like GAH!!

thank you so much for making this video! it was such a comfort while I wind down for the night. my favourite/comfort show has to be Dickinson (2019)!! the show is just so carefree, comedic and casually dramatic LOL. and the vibes are cottage core too which is such a perfect mix for me. while comfort movie has to be the School for Good and Evil from Netflix and The Edge of Seventeen (2016)!!

I definitely agree about that era of films - I'd like to add Van Helsing to your list! I really enjoy rewatching Futurama and King of the Hill, though my biggest daily thing is just listening to lana del rey. My favorite comfort thing is to watch people on twitch or youtube watch/experience/talk about my favorite games, books, hobbies, etc. I'm a bit addicted to watching people play Outer Wilds for the first time to watch the order they do things in and their reactions to the story and world-building as it unfolds. I also love physiology so I love podcasts where people are discussing new research papers and such!
