A Weekend of Cheshire Railtours and Freight 23-25/02/2024

During the recent weekend (23rd-25th February 2024), there was a wide range of interesting movements out worth seeing. On Friday 23rd Feb, top'n'tailed class 37s (37254 & 37612) are seen at Cuddington twice in the clear beautiful British weather working 3Q92 Chester to Derby.
Saturday saw the absolute beast class 40, 40013 'Andania' heading up to Inverness on a Mammoth tour with InterCity. She's seen thundering through Hartford. On top of that was a WCRC/Pathfinder tour to Carlisle headed by a keen 47 through Acton Bridge, with a few freight trains thrown in.
Finally, Sunday was the day of the 86s with three preserved class 86s (101, 259 and 401) all doing their part to get Liverpool F.C. fans down to the cup final at Wembley where they would go on to win. These are seen at Hartford working ECS. In the evening came the return on 40013 'Andania who is seen blasting through Acton Bridge through the late evening cold!

Cracking footage, really enjoyed this one. However, I think of all the times I've seen myself on one of your videos, this one takes the cake because that's me on the same platform as you at Cuddington at 0:23 😂 When I was filming I didn't even notice anyone else was there because of that metal box next to the shelter concealing my view down the platform. That was certainly one hell of a downpour and I think the first time I've filmed in a hailstorm? And it was sunny 15 minutes earlier too!

Lmaoooo that's my local station as well😅 I was on lunch break at work and yes, it's was completely fine beforehand and then came down heavily literally the second I left the house! I was hiding from the rain in that bit of the old station building

@@railquest I do like to pay a visit to Cuddington whenever something interesting is passing through although I go to Delamere much more often, it's such a nice station there

@@railquest It's good to see that there will be a couple of railtours along this bit of the Mid-Cheshire line this year, GBRf Sheds on the 21st April, Northern Belle 21st June and 125 Group HST 3rd August, last year all we got was the Northern Belle back in June
