there is more benefit to training strength, just slightly less than regular. If you're attacking 8hp imps, and your max hit is 8, then a successful hit deals either 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7, or 8 weighted equally. if your max hit is 12, then a successful hit deals 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,8,8,8, or 8, weighted equally. The lower hits become less likely and you're more likely to 1 shot the imp. It should still be much more effective to train strength over attack, as going from ~95% accuracy at 26 att to, for example, ~96% accuracy at 36 att gives only a very small difference in dps. also, loving the series :)

As far as I know, yes it is worth it to keep training strength. I'm not sure how much HP the imps have off the top of my head, but let's say to make it easy they have 5 HP. If your max hit with 25 strength is 5, training attack will make your hits more accurate, but not increase the likelihood of you hitting your max hit of 5. Training strength will make you "overkill" the imp, making it more likely to hit 4s and 5s. Think about it like this - If your max hit is 30, the game is saying "these are my possible numbers I can actually roll. I can roll a 1 - 30" What makes having the highest possible maximum hit in runescape so efficient and why people die for strength bonus is that the higher your max hit is, the more high numbers you have to roll. Even with 99 attack, you have the same chance as you do at 30 attack to roll a 1,2,3, or 4 and not one shot the imp. However, with 99 strength, your chances of rolling that 5 is very high, because you could roll 5 - 30.

True, but attack levels also unlock better weapons which contribute to your max and take less time because they will have less XP per level than just leveling strength. It would take a lot of math to figure out exactly when you should train more strength over more attack levels meaning there is no quick/easy answer.

This is correct except it rolls from 0-max hit not 1-max hit. You can roll to hit but still roll a 0.

Yes to this. Attack purely governs whether you roll for a hit or not. Strength purely governs what you hit, from 0 to your max. Even beyond that, imps stats are so low, at 30 attack with an addy scim there’s a 96.86% chance you’ll hit. That only moves up to a 97.88% with 40 attack and a rune scim. Barely any difference. Basically accuracy is irrelevant for imps. It’s all about the max hit/speed of the weapon. And to be fair better weapons will have higher max hits. Imps have 8 hp, so let’s say you had a Max hit of 8. Assuming you connect, there is a 1/9 chance you one shot it. (Cause you can connect and still roll a 0) However, if you increase to a max of 9, there is now a 2/10 chance of one shotting. At 10 it’s a 3/11 at 11 it’s 4/12 and so on. I don’t know why I find this stuff interesting, sorry for rambling

@@idlefuryapparel The game decides every 5 minutes of online time, if you will get a random event spawn during the next minute. So if you get a random event, it will always spawn after a multiple of 5 minutes of online time. So going out of the inner circle every 5 minutes and waiting for an event is as likely to get events, as is staying outside the whole time. With that knowledge he could train a bank standing skill and just run out every 5 minutes to maximize the random event chance.

The nostalgia of the toy mice. Back before the nerf I remember that narrow hallway going into the den at burthope on every world there would be someone catching mice. It's how I got 50 agility back in the day and I know a few people who got 99 this way because it was less click intensive than the wildy or ape course.

Random events have a chance of spawning every 5 minutes. At 3:22 your clock is close to 25 minute mark, if you waited until then you'd have a chance of getting one.

Regarding the question at 9:11 -- YES, you may be able to one-shot an imp but that is only going to occur when you roll your true max hit. Assuming you pass an accuracy check (aka, roll a successful hit), you then roll a random number between 0 and your max hit, then that number is applied as damage. This means two things: 1. it is possible to hit a zero on a successful attack roll, and 2. it becomes 'easier' to one-shot imps as strength increases. Consider the situation in which your max hit is 8 (exactly an imp's max hp). The average successful hit will roll a 4 ((0+8)/2). Then consider a situation in which your max hit is 20. The average successful hit will be 10, which is far greater than the hp of an imp, meaning you will be able to successfully 1-shot kill them well over 50% of the time, versus 12% of the time with a max hit of 8.

Training strength would net you higher xp per hour than training attack. By mithril you should have 100% accuracy on imps. However since damage always rolls from 0-max, increasing your max hit increases the chance that you don’t roll a 0, thus granting better xp rates even against targets with low hp.

Aside from increasing your max hit, strenght also increases the chance of rolling a higher hit, so basically the average damage per hit increases, since the minium hit is 1. You could potentially keep training strenght, but not attack, which past certain point the dps increase by accurracy will be negligible

Training your strength above the max hit on the imp still matters, because you can still roll hits above it’s hitpoints which will increase your chance to one shot it.

Keep training str for more max hits, if you can hit 8 and need to hit 8 you’ll only be able to do it if you roll the 8, if you can hit 13 and need to hit 8, you’ll accomplish the 8 if you roll 8,9,10,11,12,13, effectively giving you a better chance to ‘hit 8’

I know you are way beyond this episode, but just in case the situation ever arises again, training your strength beyond the max hp of your target is beneficial. Once your attack has passed the check to see if it lands, damage is rolled for. If you have a max hit of 9 against an imp, there is now a 20% chance to one shot it (0-9 are your possible damages), whereas currently, you have about an 11% chance to one shot it with a max hit of 8 (0-8). Imps have relatively low defense, so you shouldnt be missing them often with that gear and attack level. I would still prioritize strength to increase the odds of one shotting the imp and decreasing the odds of rolling a 0 on damage calculation.

If you train strength to increase ur max hit, it should make imp kills faster because you can roll damage that is higher than the imp max health. It would make one shots more consistent, but i dont know if its worth the time investment.

Believe it or not, it's ONLY worthwhile to train Strength, and actually a waste to train attack beyond the level requirements for wielding weapons. This is because Imps have a defense level of 1 and all of their defensive bonuses are -42. Meaning your chance to hit is nearly 100% regardless of attack level or weapon bonuses (once you meet a certain threshold of course). Training Attack would increase your chance to hit, but incredibly marginally, making it less efficient to train. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when calculating the damage roll, there is an equally weighted chance for you to do a specific amount of damage, between 1 and your max hit. Meaning if your max hit is 20, there's an equal chance to hit a 1, and an equal chance to hit a 20 on the Imp. And since it only has 8 HP, then 12/20 times (60%) you will 1 hit with any given attack. So training Strength up and increasing your max hit would cause that 60% number to rise as the range expands further past a max of 20. Hopefully that makes sense and helps.

I would like to see you change your varrock tp to the GE by completing the Varrock medium diary and so you can buy house teleport tab so you can use your house. I know it destroy the idea of the account, but I feel it's a price to pay to get more episodes & content. Also any items gain from any of the quest or dairy task need to be droped and need to be complete MOSTLY in the GE. If you accept, good luck getting 30 level with mouses for the rooftop task. :P
