Loved this video and seeing again where ive walked myself, and just recently. Jake you need to do a video on Speyside, just with the amount of distillries you have in a 10 mile radius, it is unbelievable! I seen 40 distillries in the three days i was there, although not all are open to the public ,i just wanted to go and see ones like Dallas dhu, Mortlach,Glenallachie,Glen Grant etc etc, every distillery has something special, and believe it or not Cardhu was my favoirite tour, although im not a big Cardhu fan. I know some of these whiskies you probably dont bother with, i dont myself, its just the mystique and history that surround them that make Speyside a magical place, and for that id love to see yous do a tour and video from there. Thanks for another great video on an Icon of Scotch whisky.

Macallan is five minutes drive literally up one road, Balvenie,Craigellachie,Glenfiddich,Mortlach,Dufftown and the Speyside Copperage five minutes up another road. @@TheWhiskyBaron Ah Rothes isn't the best place to live but for a base whilst visiting Speyside then it's a good area and Elgin's only 10 mile away. It was family that lived there,so I would head up there once or twice a year,I'm originally from Clydebank, right inbetween where Littlemill, and Auchentoshan lies.Yeah i thought with you being in the whisky business, that surely you had been to Speyside,so you do know the place then. no sauternes or rum cask? the port had the most funk in it for me and i loved the rum and refill sherry, so i went for 2 parts port, 2 ports refill sherry, 1 part rum and 0.1 part fresh sherry -- found the fresh sherry to dominate everything else, particularly the rum

After having travelled and lived on four continents for 4 decades: it's the small things which bring joy and will be remembered, not the sightseeing highlights. People, flavors, smells, discussions, random encounters - and meeting people who have devoted theirs lives to create something.
