Glen's so cool. I love making his recipes. I did something similar last week with a ton of leek instead of onion. Whole chickens seem to be the best for the price lately.

try roasting the chicken halves with carrot, celery, onion add a few cloves of garlic and pour on top-fermented dark beer (not guiness lol) all in a ovenproof casserole, bake until the top gets crisp and beer dissolves, take bird out and use remainder for the sauce ( butter, cream, herbs etc) even better with duck cheers

We used cream instead of milk and finished it with a hint of creme fraiche, did not use flour the cream and onion would suffice..........our base for cream soups was white wine, onion and cream we never used milk in sauces idk why lol......i apprenticed at Seehotel Ketsch Restaurant "Die Ente" if you want to have a look cheers from Germany

to be fair, having lived on both coasts, butter sticks are the same volume, just slightly different shapes!

True. I'm just waiting for the "east/west is best" debate over sticks of butter.

@@KevinAllOver hah! butter is butter regardless of shape - but I swear the butter dish is for salted butter only, that's the only butter hill I'll die on :D Also thanks for the informative videos, I really enjoy them!

Kräutersalz is actually just salt with herbs... we use it on just about everything over here :)

Pronunciation would be something like Kroiterzaltsz (the a pronounced like in ahhh). But then again… I am not native German speaker, so Konstantin can correct me on it.
