David was such a great man. He lived his life in service to others and loved God with all his heart. I cannot imagine what our rescuers are going through and will be dealing with the rest of their lives. Thank you all for everything

I've seen comments where a few may be confused when this happened due to when this was posted ..This happened Friday when Helene was doing her worst. He got his family out and as he was running out behind them, when he reached the deck, the house just collapsed and came down around him, he got stuck under debris at the bottom of the hill..I have heard at his funeral one of our amazing rescuers said he told them to stop trying to get him out because he knew he was close to the end and would be "headed home" very shortly..David was truly a wonderful person

This is our America, it's time to turn the page and Unite, our love ones, Communities, our children, the future of so much riding on our comeback. We need each other now it's Country over PArty. What we need is compassion, and we need Those famous players to help make it happen, but not on the get rich but to keep country floating enough to come back. My prayers are with all these victims. I wish I could do more. I've donated what I can afford, but I plan to donate more each month until some semblance of normalcy comes back to them. I encourage everyone to do the same. If you can't do but $5 a month, that adds up. Please donate and help these folks. Their lives are forever changed. Plus, make a plan for if a catastrophe hits your area, so you might be more prepared to handle it and help your neighbors.

The people doing these rescues need to be able to gather together and process the mental and emotional struggles that are now facing. This whole situation is horrendous but My question is why isn't the state national guard being mobilized to help get these folks get dug out and some sort of survival kitchen, that can serve the whole community. They may have to step back to the large outdoor cooking hearths and bonfires but it's a step forward.

OH this title needs to be addressed. Does praying really help? Talking out loud to imaginary beings... It's quite tiresome hearing intelligent folks carry on this way. 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 While I agree with good morals and ethics, I do not need the fear of hell or the promise of an afterlife to choose right.

I agree with you. However, so many feel the need to believe in a "higher power." I think because otherwise, they would feel alone and desperate. The "afterlife" is very important to them, too. They don't want to think they go nowhere after this life.

Yes. It does. Answers are happening every moment. When you buy a new car you see that model everywhere. Once you have received an answer they become more and more unmistakable. Ask the Lord for evidence.
