Regarding Puppet Show - I've been wanting to scream this from the rooftops because it's so interesting to me, so I'm gonna use this comment section as a way to do this... In the chorus they use "their plastic dolls" and "their toys", and everyone (including Genius at the time of writing this) have been rewriting it as "they're" thinking that the subtitles are wrong in the MV. But it says "their" in the lyric book that comes with the album!! So for me, that changes so much just by one word!! So rather than XG plainly saying "you're a toy", they are referencing that they will play that person *like that person plays with their toys* (which is implied to be women, both in everyday life and the music industry). It's indirectly saying "we'll do to you what you're already doing to us in this moment". I know it's only a really small thing, but every lyric video/article I've seen so far uses the wrong word and it really makes such an impact when the right word is noted! Hesono is Japanese for umbilical cord. XG has a chant Hesono! 'O! It basically means that they are closer than siblings, XG are not just a group, but family. XG Documentary EP 7 (I think) was heavily focused on Hesono. They released a MV and BTS video for it.

and this is why i'll always be an xg girly, like they just NEVER disappoint. also something interesting i've seen people point out, harvey's dark blood red teeth and jurin's sharp teeth at the beginning seem to be symbolic of women in society either being "spoken over and being too quiet” or "speaking too much or aggressively”. which would also make sense with the lyrics said at that time. and taking into consideration ohaguro (blackened teeth) being an old custom in japan for women, it might be partially referencing that too

I feel like the mv's were released in reversed order except for Hesono. In Hesono - they're in the womb, hibernating, landed in alien world. X-Gene - birth. Puppet Show - you can see them as waking up looking up at the aliens at the start. They leave as propheted in X-Gene ("follow the light, take me to the other side"). New Dance - they learn new things. TGIF - they experimented. GRL GVNG - they became bad asses after all the training.

No!!! They just didn't!!! After puppet show, they scared us with Hesonoo, it's literally out of this world scary, then they put X-gene with the tone? Jurin? Cocona? Maya? Harvey? Chisa? Hinata? Juria? My gosh!!!!! They already showed who they are since tippy toes plus they showcased talent in XG Moves, Tape and Vox, and I thought that's their best. But they still shoved us all with X-gene. Mind blowing!!!!

An EP! Hesono refers to an umbilical cord and for XG it refers to how closely bound the members are, like embryos in the womb. Nothing else approaches that sort of connection. XG's whole album is good and they defintely have some of my top songs of this year, but being real Le Serafim's Eve, Psyche and the Bluebeard's Wife is my fave this year so far. There's nothing wrong with you saying your fave. It's what you like and you shouldn't ever feel bad about professing it. At the end of the day Art is subjective and everyone has their likes and dislikes and IT'S OKAY. Great reaction...for me XG is defintely one of those groups that have the potential to be a top group going forward.
