Explanation of Kitchen Scene with Mom for Christmas dinner: All this food is normal on a Hispanic Christmas, in the pot boiling those were "Pasteles" Dominicans and Puerto Ricans always have it on Holidays, also i saw "Pastelillos" the things you think were dumplings they are basically like a fried meant pie, with Beef, Chicken or Ham n Cheese, i saw "Arros con Gandules" that's basically yellow rice with chickpeas, the frogs are called "Cocki" it represents Puerto Rico, they only are found in the Island and they make a different sound then regular frogs, Mom also had a "Flan" that's basically a sweet dessert almost like cheese cake but way better lol!, saw a oven roasted Ham which is a must for us lol!, green Salad, and while she was on the phone gossiping in Spanish with her campaign manager lol! she was frying "Tostones" and yes that is a lot of food! but that's pretty much normal in a Hispanic household and during Christmas and Thanksgiving even crazier even if its only 3 or 4 people, only thing Mom was missing in that kitchen was a bottle or two of "Cockito" its a special drink with coconut milk and alcohol that only gets drunk on Christmas and Thanksgiving. : )

@@icecreaman805 Not really. They may look like tamales at first, but those are actually pasteles. Very commonly eaten on holidays with Puerto Ricans. The difference between tamales and pasteles is that tamales have a corn based masa while pasteles have a masa containing platanos, yautía blanca, guineos verdes and calabaza. Also tamales are traditionally wrapped in corn husk while pasteles are wrapped in banana leaves. Both of them have meat and vegetables or legumes, but pasteles usually only have pork and chickpeas while tamales have a mix of chicken and pork with corn. But then again it also depends on who is making them. And when it comes to them being cooked, tamales are steamed while pasteles are boiled. However there is one thing us Puerto Ricans have that is actually kinda similar to tamales and that's guanime.

I'm Puerto Rican 🇵🇷 too (Boricua🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷 papá!) and even though Peter is still my boy, seeing Miles represent me and be present in a dinner setting that is so familiar to me and everyone else in my culture is awesome. Not something you see often. After Spiderverse, this game, and after becoming familiar with his comics, I can say that our Afro-Boricua Spidey is worthy of the Spider-Man name. Pete and Miles carry the legacy well.

The frogs are Coqui. They are only found in Puerto Rico. I must say, as a Puerto Rican, these touches like the coqui, the salsa music, the guava, the Puerto Rican flag, etc, makes me really really happy. Also you speaking spanish gave me a good chuckle hahaha. Looking forward to more videos :)

Combat in this game feels so good. I hope they expand Peter's moveset in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 by having more crowd control attacks and special moves that use his agility, webs, superior physical abilities to Miles to compensate for Miles's extra abilities, particularly his venom power. Peter already has the better gadgets and the suit power mechanic which is unique to him but venom powers are just too hype, so expansion is still necessary. Also they gotta expand the web swinging as well because Miles's new trick system and more numerous swinging animations have to be at least matched lol. Btw Peter trusts Miles to handle the city that's why he didn't feel the pressure to bring the subject up, on top of getting sidetracked because he's so busy (probably kept putting it off as new things came up), and plot convenience.

As a Puerto Rican born and raised this game makes me cry tears of joy cause of how happy I am to have my home represented. Miles Morales is such an inspiration for Hispanics and Black people everywhere. He represents what a modern day hero looks like and now I’m crying again! 😩😂 I just love spider-man so much. I grew up watching Peter Parker since I was a kid and as much as I will cherish having him in my childhood, miles morales has definitely got to be my favorite spider-man because he doesn’t just represent young struggling people everywhere, he represents ME. The dumplings you noticed are called empanadillas and they’re typically stuffed with meat or cheese. The little hand-wrapped meals at 19:28 are pasteles (which are similar to Mexico’s tamales but made from plantains instead of corn) and are likely stuffed with chicken or pork. I’m from Puerto Rico and that table instantly made me super homesick!

The food dishes I recognized were tamales, empanadas and rice and beans. The stuff that is rapped in some kind of leaf are tamales, empanadas are a dumpling like pastry usually filled with meat like beef, pork or chicken. Rice and beans are self explanatory, except there is a variety of both in this cuisine. As I said I’m no expert, but I lived in NY for awhile and this is all very familiar and common ethnic food there.

You should get the "Best Fries in Town" Trophy. It's a Statue of Stan Lee in front of Mick's. It's down 81st street. Between Roosevelt st. and Firehouse st. Edit: Amazing Fantasies #15 was the first Spider-Man story. When Stan Lee first came up with Spider-Man his publisher said no. Sometime later Amazing Fantasies was ending. Stan's wife convinced him to introduce Spider-Man in the last issue.
