the biggest problem with this album and a wilhelm in general is that once you listen to them/it you realize how much everyone else's music blows hahaha "there is no one that can get it done, like us" ....understatement of the year.

Richard Parks Kinda how I feel, this was teh first band I had seen live and got hooked on. Still come back to them for that nostalgia, even though it's not my style of music anymore.

I agree so check the canadian band "The Flatliners" they are great to. perfect with a wilhelm scream playlist. look up the flatliner albums "Dead Language" and "Calvacada" or some shit like that

I got the flatliners drummers sticks after a show in Brooklyn once. Best show ever someone provided a garbage can of keystone and we all had a blast. They sound awesome live and are some cool dudes. Love their music too.

I friggin love this band. And so far, I've seen a lot of people rip on this album but I love it so far. It's definitely different from Ruiner and Mute Print (the two I've listened to in their entirety- Mute Print is on repeat in my car right now) but still incredibly talented. Which I don't think I could expect any less from these guys.

Ike Tarno I like them almost equally honest. and Number One is one of my favorite songs from these bad asses.
@andyisposi9 жыл бұрын
+Ike Tarno I don't think they tried too hard at all. I believe they wanted to step up their game and create more melodic and aggressive tunes. Their melodies on this one are pretty on point.
@achieveyouthservices33168 жыл бұрын
+Ike Arkady I think overall Career Suicide is more solid, but I also think that Number One, Ice Man Left a Trail, and Born a Wise Man are the three best songs they have ever written and they are all on this album

My bands used to play alongside Trevor and Nuno in their Koen days, back when we were 17ish. I'm glad they stuck with it, wish I had. At any rate, this album is great. Trevor was always a good songwriter, but he just gets better and better.

@michaelnimmo530911 жыл бұрын
Talented for sure. But to say "the best band in the world" nah, that's probably fifteen, but it's ok. there's a lot of good influences it sounds like. the guitar has moments of thrash, punk, pop, and radio rock. Which rhymes nicely(?)

Is it me or is Nuno's singing less 'clean' than before? Still a great album, but it just happened to catch my attention.
@TheBadgerEB11 жыл бұрын
His vocals ARE less clean, but I prefer it, it sets them aside from a lot of punk rock bands especially when the most of the time the melodies are sung above the harmonies, makes their sound so unique.
@nickhxc77711 жыл бұрын
also Nuno is getting older so that will have an effect on your voice and I'm sure the fact that he smokes doesn't help either....still great none the less
@renatoremor25811 жыл бұрын
nickhxc777 As an fan of AWS, i must say that the work of vocals/back vocals in this albums is awsome,
@pappaal10 жыл бұрын
It almost sounds like he is trying too hard to get deeper and raspy. Regardless, it sounds good.
@tyerker10 жыл бұрын
pappaal I think he's going lower with his voice to reduce the strain. I talked to Trevor at a show once, and the biggest reason Route 40 One Six wasn't on "Ruiner" was because it was too high for Nuno, and strained his voice too much to sing on tour.
