I think original uses a lot of chromatic notes (notes that don't really follow traditional scales) which you can't really do on the lyre so you can't make it sound as "creepy" even if you wanted do. I'm myself pretty accustomed to chromatic notes (I listen to a decent amount of jazz and a lot of death/black metal lol) so it didn't sound creepy at all to me, just calming.

The thing is that Hoyoverse doesn't recommend using it because it counts as a 3th party service, so theoretically it could get you banned

A midi is short for musical instrument digital interface and as far as i know it is usually used for is controlling instruments and composing music In this situation the midi would be used in conjunction with a macro to automatically input keys and play a song on the lyre in-game by running a script
