A winter walk in the woods with hipflask and pipe

A nice morning walk in the woods. This time with my hipflask (thanks to Steve Coddington/SmokingCardboard) and my Mr. Brog Vest Pocket Pipe and some Boswell‘s Rum River tobacco in it 😊

A very enjoyable video indeed. Being a big outdoors person myself you can not take to many walks through the woods enjoying a pipe and a sip or two of burbon if you ask me. The winter months have always been my favorite time to be in and enjoy the woodlands. That blooming plant (wildflower?) really intrigued me. I couldn't get a real good look at it or I would do some research myself. For the past 12 years I have been a docent for a Tallgrass Prairie Biological Research Station owned by the Nature Conservancy and managed by Kansas State University. So I'm kind of a big plant nut. I know weather plays a part in making videos like this but I do hope you throw them in on occasion. I have really been enjoying your videos Lester. Thanks for all the entertaining and enjoyable content. Even though I watch many YTPC videos and enjoy all the pipe and tobacoo talk and insights I seem to enjoy all the other things just as much. Such as your enjoyable winter walk. Take care fella.

Hey Sam, well Switzerland has many elves, dwarves, halflings and magical creatures…in Appenzell the people are mostly only 4 feet tall…and I swear some of the Swiss have pointed ears 😄😄 The dialect sounds like elfish too! It all adds to the charm of the place 😊😄😉

While many a folk dismiss the enchantment of the forest ive always left room for the notion being possible..its the stuff of childhood amazement and wonder. I think most folk loose that along the way and others meet their muse precisely there and voila the likes of The Hobbit/LOTR's - Chronicles of Narnia - Harry Potter emerge (albeit the first two were half-products of war to be precise but maybe impossible without the magic of the forrest) anyway thank you for sharing!!

It could have come from far away as plants like the Texas Star Hibiscus find their way into Switzerland through florists, botanic gardens or just tourists bringing seeds back.
