If the killer has a mask.. dont stop and wonder what's under it. Yes you may daze him or knock him out but dont ever get close to him. 4.use simple logic....a car or a bike? Use the car bring the bike with you * if there is one* as a back up. And 5. If something strange is going on in the house dont answer with *hello? Is anyone here?*

No. It's just a creepy story. There's no true lesson of "they might run off into the woods with you trying to be your friend but accidentally killing you because they're crazy." Any given horror movie has a moral about like you suggest. You picked the one that didn't to say something haha At most don't talk to strangers. You don't know them, and that's all you need to know

Yep. If that is how he handled the other kids, he should've learned not to do that at least after the second attempt. And if not a holding space in his body to carry them, at least carry them in his mouth. Firm enough so they don't fall out but gentle enough that they don't get hurt.

Awww poor Twig I feel so bad for him it wasn't really his fault that he got Apple Bloom and the other fillies killed he just didn't know his strength I imagine Twig is most likely quite young as well

I'm not really a fan of the stranger danger type of horror, since it usually relies on the characters holding the idiot ball. This story is no exception, but what it does well offsets Applebloom's naivety. This antagonist is not malicious, but he is extremely paranoid and possessive. His own paranoia creates a never ending cycle of dead foals, which only adds to his reputation. All horror stems from a loss of control, and this is true for both individuals. A lack of control spells their doom.

This reminds me of a story where a Timberwolf strayed away from his pack and found the Apples. I think it's "A Heart Of Gold" or "A Wooden Heart" Ok, nevermind, the first part reminds of the story

An interesting thing this fanfic highlighted was how many people have the best of intentions for others but because of limited or tunnel vision perspective they actually do much damage(sometimes lasting). This is why trust is to be used sparingly instead of freely at first or second sight.
