This is just a promotional movie. It cherry-picks out some well selected images. Real life didn't look like that: there was a lot of inequality, poverty, suppression, etc. Watch out with romanticizing te past. It's a trap many fell into. People have always used media to escape from reality and the ones that give the nicest "dreamy" image are the most popular, thus are kept and found by later generations. They give a false image.
